www.youtube.com/v/fDCXzqgD99o This guy gets stopped at 3 checkpoints IN THIS COUNTRY!! They demand to know wheather he is a US citizen and he denys to answer @ all 3 and amazingly they let him go!!! HE IS QUITE BRAVE!!!!!!! -- MORE NEED TO BE LIKE HIM AND STAND UP FOR THIER FREEDOM!!!!
I agree, more should. But I live in an area with a lot of checkpoints, I don't find it odd that they let him go. I might have expected him to be forced into "secondary", but "that's my business" is a fine answer (I think my mom said "I don't have to tell you that", although they stopped her for a while....), and when they ask where you're comming, and then where you're going, "that way" is a fine answer for both. ........Unless you look brown, then you might not want to try it. Of course, US citizenship is irellivent..... lots of people literally commute over the border, it's pretty easy. But they make a big show of force in their little "not really the US" militarized zone around the border.
Are These Always Set Up On State Borders, Or Can They Be Set Up On Any Highway Within A State....?? Cheers Glen.
Wow! That made my day! Good for him exercising his rights to travel unmolested by the government. We all need to stand up against this type of fascist governemnt actvity. We are free, taxpaying citizens. We have constitutional rights. No ones going to treat me like a suspect by making me prove I'm innocent or legal. Sheriffs tried drug checkpoints around here once. Got sued and shown they were unconstitutional. Authority figures will treat us the way we allow them too. Resist! Dont participate in fascist activity!
Those are US border patrol checkpoints. They have a zone around the mexican border ( and presumably canadian too, now.... because the government has totally lost it's marbles) where they pretend that they're allowed to use military force or anything else they please. There's checkpoints with drug/explosive dogs, and they waste a lot of time for a lot of people to achieve exactly NOTHING. The whole thing is just a pretense for more (civil)war on drugs, to try to stop a little pot. I think the zone extends 50, 75, on 100 miles from the border, not sure exactly. But they put checkpoints on major or strategic routes and harass individual cars like in the video, while whole big-rigs full of drugs and other contraband drive right through the big ports of entry, the cargo flow between the US and mexico makes the idea of pretending we have some control over the border just funny.... It's a big pork barrel and vote-getter. But individual states can set up a checkpoint for just about anything they want, from DUI to seatbelt to whatever, and some states have legislation requiring law enforcement to detain/demand "papers" from people who they have any doubt are american citizens. Of course, this makes police in those states very dangerous, if you say the wrong thing you could probably be walking off a plane in central america tomorrow.....
I think that's just silly. If ur a citizen just tell them yes. Why refuse to answer? If people weren't abusing our nation this wouldn't be happening. And btw, ur rights are an illusion.
