I have got dreams very rarely, but when I do, they are fucked up. So I have went to the toilet, wanted to use the urinal, then some dudes went inside the room through window saying it is under maintenance, so I went to normal toiler, entered it, there was mirror in front of me and I haven't got one eye. It looked like a deep hole, ripped flesh covered in blood. Surprisingly I haven't reacted to it, like it was completly normal and then woke up....
Not a big fan of zombies. --- On a side note, it is funny how just few years ago you would ask 'too many horror movies', but now most beloved topic in media and most books / films are zombies. Going with this: no I haven't watched any horror movies / gore for some time before I had this dream, nor anything like that ever influenced my dreams. ( or did it? )
It's hard to say... I only mentioned it because of it's popularity at the moment, and your description was rather "Zombie-esq".
That is transparently a dream about castration complex/penis envy. You could'nt use the urinal because you don't have a penis; the missing eye stands for the missing penis. Dreams use parts of the upper body to symbolise genitals. That it was your eye that was used to stand for the penis suggests that as a child you feared castration as a punishment for sexual looking or peeping. I'm not sure about the guys coming through the window, though ...
i call most of that analyzing dreams stuff crap. there is some bit of fact to it but for the most part you will dream about what your thinking or feeling when you fall asleep. if you drink a 40 and go to sleep i will bet dollars to donuts that you will dream that you have to urinate. if there are noises going on around you then your dream will be steered by the noises that you hear. if you fall asleep awkwardly and your eye is pushing uncomfortably against the edge of your pillow you will dream that your eye is bothering you. you are the only one that can really figure out why you dreamed what you did. and if you cant figure it out then that dream had no meaning.
you had to piss. i have bathroom dreams all the time, and every time it happens i eventually wake up and legitimately have to go to the bathroom.
Hahaha, you made my day Yeah, I also don't believe, but I am still interested what it could mean by common interpretations.
The fact that you haven't reacted to this dream--as if it's a normal sequence of events--probably has as much to do with the dream's meaning than any supposed symbol. You can't say that Dream Symbol X always means Y. The question is what it means to you. A dog in a dream means something to someone who has a beloved pet and something radically different to someone with a phobia about dogs, for example. In real life, a toilet or urinal under maintenance would usually be blocked off, and there would be a sign to that effect. The fact that some guys came in told you is an odd detail, and the fact that they come in through the window is an odder one. Few washrooms have windows. Who comes through a window? Maybe this has something to do with the interpretation. Similarly, public toilets don't usually have mirrors in front of them. This may be a key detail. I've been keeping a journal of my dreams for a few years, and I rarely see my reflection and other people I've talked to say that how you see yourself in a mirror in a dream has a lot to do with the way you understand or perceive yourself. In this dream, you have an eye missing. It's funny that this would not bother you. For most of this, such a dream would be a nightmare. Perhaps you see yourself as incomplete in some way, not necessarily castrated. You may also be frustrated at not being able to do some other things that you want to do, maybe things that you feel an urgent need or desire to do.
yes. i agree completely. what anything means in a dream depends on its relation to the person having it. i too have had dreams in which there were bathrooms, sometimes public ones, like in dormitories or other public places and sometimes in people homes or construction/rebuilding projects that were either partially dysfunctional or falling apart. usually incidents like this are not the whole of the dream but just one thing that takes place in it. among many other things that do also. the parts of dreams i remember when i wake up, when i do remember things in them, are almost always a very small part of everything that went on in them. like one or another event in any normal waking day, or longer period of time. this last is why i tend to see dreams as visits to a parallel universe rather then something symbolic to be interpreted. though i suppose one could look at anything significant enough to be remembered as having potential for interpretation. the significance of remembering it that is, even when it happens in this waking world.
I think of this as an awakening dream. What seems important is that in the dream you felt all was normal, but when you woke up you felt it was strange. I think this tells you that the meaning of this dream IS in your perspective. In bathrooms we get rid of that which we no longer need...that may be a major purpose of dreams for many of us. The fact that it is often difficult to get to that place due to "construction" or being out of order is not surprising. I would say that the person(s) who gave you this information were your helpers or dream teachers. Especially since they came in through an unconventional way(a window)...through another way of viewing things(more on bringing awareness to your perspective). As for your eye...a lot of things we view as gory are really just reality. I think oftentimes in dreams people view things as nightmares and again...it is just their perspective. The fact you had no feelings of disease in your dream shows you that your perspective can be widened and neutralized to a non-judgemental standard...one that is not afraid of and aware that our bodies are more than what they look like on the outside, that they have a real system of operation and it is hinged upon skin, blood, etc.
Wow, I'm positively surprised. All of that makes sense in some or other way. Well, I'm quite open-minded and some things are very interesting for me that others might call extreme gore, or disturbing. It is an interesting idea, of creating another person in your mind, 'teacher', which could lead you through your life and help widen your horizons.
