In Michigan you must have a "qualifying condition". This is a list I found.. Agitation of Alzheimer’s Disease Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Cancer Crohn’s Disease Glaucoma Hepatitis C HIV/AIDS Nail Patella Cachexia or Wasting Syndrome Severe Nausea Severe and Chronic Pain Seizures Severe and Persistent Muscle Spasms You have to send in a bunch of medical records and a physician reviews them, and you pay $200 to talk to that physician. If he thinks you qualify you get a certification form that you use to apply to the state for a card. And along with the forms and certification and identification, and $100 application fee, you can hopefully get a MMJ card.
I do have that last one. I had sever Scoliosis, was diagnose as a kid had 2 major surgeries’ I'm fused all the way down. Was braced right away then I had my first surgery and it started curving on the lower part of my back and they had to go back in and operate again. I had to wear a brace all the way up to my neck down to my back.
It’s something I have learned to live with all my life. I've been in physical therapy for years my hips get out of place and that is very painful when that happened's. That’s why I see a therapist so she can pop them back into place
This is true about the california part. You can get one super easily. Some of my friends have them and they have nothing wrong with them what so ever. I dont mind that they have them as long as the people who actually need them here can get em as well.
While that's true, those that need them can get them too, is it fare for them to have to buy one? When I lived out there I could have bought one too and I actually needed one for physical reasons... but I couldn't afford to buy one so did without. I believe my body is worse now than it would have been if I could have received a card due to need... instead of this whole buying crap that they do now.
When I got mine I went in with a nice prepared story about chronic pain from football injuries. I thought it would be hard because I have never had a prescription for opiates or any pain killer. I don't care for them since I saw what they did to other members of my family. I had however used weed for a long time to deal with this pain. But as soon as I open my mouth the doctor said "this is easier if you don't say anything". She signed my paperwork and I was allowed to go into dispenserys that day. But some states are more strict I hear. You should at least try. Remember these doctors are making allot of money from doing this, and I think many of them know what's up. But they also know it's safe, so they don't mind you helping them make their BMW payment.
My sister's boyfriend got his card, because he has a tummy ace lol And he doesn't even have. Well he used to have a really bad ulcer, so that’s why he was able to get a card. but doesn't anymore
the key is finding MMJ friendly doctors.. you may have to do some research. obviously those that are more understanding of MMJ will be more likely to give you a card
So I recently met a couple from Michigan.. Proud MMJ card holders.. So I asked the question "I heard it's tough to get a med card in Michigan.. Is that true?" Answer????...... NOPE. Your doctor sends a recommendation to the state.. $200 later you have a card that allows you to posses 2.5oz of marijuana or 12 plants.. or these measurements can be transferred to their caregivers.. in which a caregiver is allowed to have either 12 plants or 2.5oz of medicine per patient..
