Garlic My nose piercing has gotten infected a few times since i got it, at first I always tried using store bought products but they never seemed to work very good and were slow to heal. then one day I read an article in the newspaper about this guy who was listing the healing properties of garlic and on his list he claimed it helped infected piecings because of all the natural antibotics in garlic. so the next time my nose got infected I chopped a garlic in half and stuck it on my nose, the next morning I woke up and it was completly healed. when i first used it it burned a bit and was stinky but it worked very well and I have done it again. the garlic guy had some recipe to make it but I just use the strait garlic and it works really well.
I do now and it has not happened for years, just letting others know since it can happen to anyone. it has been infected 2 times from having it ripped out. one time from a cop and another time from my pillow. and when I first got it it was because I got it done in the mall by one of those guns but i know much better now, i was very young then.
well now i had my lip ring for a long time and it got infected. dont know why it jsut did. dosnt mean your not taking care of it. garlic smells bad i dont think i could stand the smell lol
dude, garlic is the best thing ever! I got through winter without getting a cold cos usually every single meal I cooked at home (at least dinner) would have a least one clove of garlic in it. This doesn't suprise me - garlic can also be a good natural solution to thrush.
warm water and salt (aka saline) are what I was told for piercings, natural as ever and not near so stinky as garlic (thought it likely takes more than just one treatment)
YES!! Garlic does work. I had the same problem with my nipple. Did SSS for 2 weeks and no improvement... Dark yellow ooze and loads of soreness and redness... After using a sea salt soak with added 1/2 teaspoon 15+ active manuka honey and a little bag of crushed garlic in it like a 'teabag', and rubbing a squashed clove around the nipple afterwards (that bit HURT and garlic can burn your skin, be careful) the next morning the pus had gone and the nipple was completely back to normal (apart from the metal bar through it) no pain, redness or anything. Also munched a clove down before bed and another in the morning... garlic works systemically and topically... Anyway it was brilliant! Natural remedies all the way!
Holy shit! I have been using Tea Tree oil for about two weeks at most. The keloid has gone done significantly but tends to come back or puss will start to harden around the hole. Did you have a keloid by chance, or was it just irritated?
