Nudge please, which path goes toward healing?

    I'm in a very dark place, hoping someone has a bit of light to show me which way leads toward healing. There's not many options in dealing with the physical issues, but I'm mentally ill with PTSD and depression, it keeps getting darker and I don't know which way to work to get out of this.

    I've debated many things, I'm currently on medication and in therapy. I'm seeing an MD about the physical health concerns. My soul went quiet during the hard times, I can't hear what it's asking for. Does the hurting thing inside need art, poetry, yoga, meditation, dancing or something else?

    Any of those would be a good outlet.... Which one speaks to you the loudest? It also has to be something easily accomplished. In other words, "Dancing" would not be a great choice if physical limitations don't allow for it. You don't need to add frustration to where you are right now.

    Hi Spider

    Two simple things to start with are Tapping and Toning.
    Both are used in PTSD.

    Tapping. This is a gentle tapping along the meridians of the body. To do on your own move along the 4 meridians in the fore arm. One is at the wrist where the hand connects to the arm just below the thumb position. About the width of four fingers up the back of the arm is the second one . The third one is again a four finger width from the second one. The fourth one is just above the elbow. With two fingers tap to the count of three. then move to the next meridian. Always do both sides for balance. When a Dr. does it on you they are able to reach more energy spots called meridians.

    Toning lines up the vibration of sound energy. and works like an echo inside. Much like tuning an instrument. Use AAAAAHHHHHHHH sound or OMMMMM sound these are universal healing sounds.

    What you are doing is balancing your inner vibration of well being that will naturally look for wellness inside you in mind, body, spirit, and soul.

    There are other ways to enter your own self empowerment toward wellness. Reiki is a good one.

    The book by Donna Eden titled Energy Medicine is a great book.

    also, mindfullness meditation. helps you to focus on the present instead of the past or the future. good luck :)

    Remember what made you happy before, even if you have to go back to your childhood. Was it swimming, puppies, a certain toy, etc. Start there.

    Thanks to everyone, those are some very helpful suggestions. After the first try of Crone's tapping explanation I can already feel the healing energies flowing through. I'll look into mindfulness meditation too, that sounds like just what I need.

    You've all been so very kind and I appreciate it- thanks again for all the help.
