Out of luck..

I have such the urge to smoke right now.. but I have no way of getting anything. I haven't smoked in like almost 3 months.. yeah..
I'm probably still what you might consider a "newbie" in the smoking area. I've never actually bought any weed, just pitched in and smoked with my friends. I have a friend who can get it for almost free, but the person she gets it from & smokes with.. ehhhhh not a fan. I would love to just be able to get some for me at least once. So yeah, that's my situation as of now at 2 in the morning.. thinking ability dwindling haha

 

I'm from Michigan too U.P. How about you? I know the feeling of not being able to get any smoke. That can be a downer I really hope you find some soon

 

both of you can get weed from your various doctors in michigan....stop complaining because it makes us people that cannot do that yet really mad

 

haha. I was THINKING that as well, but i can also sympathize with OP and Jenn. It really does suck sometimes not to have budz. I recently made a friend on some travels from just outside of Detroit and she has a MMJ card there, It was pretty interesting for me never having really had a good look at a card before. Pretty interesting. My friend also said that where she lived near the D, that cannabis was basically legal...

YOU GUYS SHOULD BOTH LOOK INTO THAT OPTION! haha i for sure would if i lived there.

I have weed, I get it from my brother in law and my dad has friends he gets it from. my dad is getting his card soon

btw I never got to see Rollingalong's original post before it got deleted. Sorry if you get mad, but that's just how I was feeling, but thanks for reminding me of something else I can be thankful for, I hope you can get the same in the future

 

You always hear about these medical cards in the states, but do we have them here in Canada? I've never really looked into it much, considering it's pretty much legal here where i live, near the Vancouver area without a card anyways

we do, but you have to have a legitimate illness, with papers signed by a specialist. you won't get one unless you really need it, and even then i don't know how hard it is.

..pointing out the availability of legal marijuana on the corner of your street was insensitive and childish on my part..

. getting a marijuana licence here in canada is a federal issue and far more difficult than obtaining a card in lets say?..michigan?......at least 1 of you is on disability already and likely qualify with just 1 of your many problems

the world and your country is changing...we that have no choice but to purchase drugs from criminals in order to cure our pain just want to throw rocks at people that complain too loudly when all they have to do is admit to their own familiies that they love weed and that it greatly helps them with their troubles

There is probably a preconceived notion that if you live in a MMJ state the cards (or whatever the system in your state uses) are easy to get. That's not necessarily true. In CA you can fairly easily just buy one. In other states you need to be on your deathbed with cancer, and it varies between those two extremes depending on the state... My state doesn't have MMJ and I'm not gonna hold my breath for that to change.

Why someone in a MMJ state that would qualify for a card but won't get one, I don't know... Maybe there are family situations we don't understand. Maybe they tried for a card and were denied so they just went back to street suppliers. Who knows.

 

Ya, down here in GA, i doubt that there will be much shift in medical marijuana, decriminalization, or otherwise anytime soon. NOT holding my breath either.Ya in some states its super hard to get MMJ cards. I would imagine, like my previous state NJ. In California and Colorado and a few other places where I have some buddies, they have reported that it is pretty easy to get your hands on a card though.
