Graduated and got me a job! Nothing else of interest to report. I help rich students find their textbooks at the university bookstore. It is busy and easy and great.
do you attend the university or just work there? how can they not find their own textbooks? they're sorted alphabetically by subject, and then numerically by course number, and labeled by professor and section that requires them, not to mention that detailed textbook information is always included on the syllabus. so what do you do the other 48 weeks of the year?
I thought this read "Get me a job" -- and was going to empathize -- but looks like no need! Congrats you lucky bitch.
I do not attend. Usually the textbook section of the store is closed off to students, but occasionally it opens and the tards cant find shit. I was hired for the 'summer rush' classes, then kept on to prepare for fall rush, and after that it looks like Ill be switching deparments to deal with all the useless college logo merch on the second level of the store.
You poor little corperate monk. Was it too complicating to sign in the form that gets you you're unemployment benefit?
its probably a good work out too! I see how those bookstore people run around there like maniacs helping people find books!
so you paid the school to teach you so you could get a job...and then now you work in their library sounds like a real racket they got going on there
also there is no such thing as "rich students" there is just spoiled kids with rich parents...and the others who either worked and saved up...or earned scholarships..or are building up a huge debt.
congratulations! I just graduated last month and unfortunately ill be attending a community college for about a year or so....
I have also upgraded to working in three of four departments in the bookstore... textbooks, [college mascot] gear, and receiving. What this means basically is I have six people to run around for and no free time. Hopefully the novelty will last a while longer before I acknowledge that I'm stuck at minimum wage in a job that is not secure and an hours drive from home with little possibility of advancement.
That was me not telling the university I work for, but its probably not hard to guess if anyone remembers where I live... but the ____ gear job refers to the clothing section of the store, which has more retail items than books in the store... it sucks, hanging clothes for a living sucks. Accounting!
