Anyone use Hoodoo magick? How did you learn about it? I'm very interested in learning about it all! :)

I've always been interested in it. I like it because it is quite simple and pragmatic. I've only done a few things: several sachets and a bunch candle burnings. If you've got any questions that I could answer, I'd love it help.

Well was just interested in learning more about it. I've been trying to find some good sources of information on it online but it's quite hard...

I am connected with a few different types of magick. Hoodoo is very strong and deals with some big ass forces. If you're interested in it I'd only suggest it if you have a natural affinity for it or have relatives that participate. I don't want to see you being stalked by "baddies!"

But for the knowledge that I have of hoodoo, I mostly use it for protecting others, keeping evil away, or relieving curses that others cast on me. I learned about it because I've been a pagan for a while and have friends and family that share their knowledge and experiences.

I would not trust anything online.

There is a reason you cannot find much about it, it is kind of the same vein as old Egyptian Magick/rituals. You really have to know what you're doing and most of it is kept buried by the priest/esses because of the idea that "with great power comes great responsibility.

Don't worry though, if it is your path to learn hoodoo, the universe will open a door for you. Try not to force it open.

I think the best way to start is setting up an Ancestor Altar and begin a relationship with the different forces that visit. Make sure you sheild against unwanted visitors.

It's not derpy to want to get advice from someone firsthand but in the meantime you can read up a bit.
