Canadian Rainbow Gathering Anyone?

Unfortunatly I can not afford to go anywhere futher than Montana, so any plans for a gathering in Canada? :2thumbsup:

I'd definately love to find a gathering out here. Heard about some small ones out on the vancouver island, but have never had the chance to go.

For sure. From what i've heard theres been some gatherings out on an ecovillage on the west coast. I think its out near Tofino or something. Theres also the big yearly hippy gathering/rave on Cortes Island.

I live on Vancouver Island and have never heard of it happening here except at Nanoose Bay as peace protests

The Rainbow Gathering 2012 will be near Latuque. The pic of the gathering will be at the full moon of august 1.

''Some say we're the largest non-organization of non-members in the world. We have no leaders, and no organization.

To be honest, the Rainbow Family means different things to different people.

I think it's safe to say we're into intentional community building, non-violence, and alternative lifestyles. We also believe that Peace and Love are a great thing, and there isn't enough of that in thisworld.

Many of our traditions are based on Native American traditions, and we have a strong orientation to take care of the Earth.

We gatherin the National Forests yearly, also to pray for peace on this planet.''

A Rainbow Gathering is a highly coloured, open, self-governed temporary intentional community where spirituality, friendship, music and freedom abound and where the grounds are set for expanding harmony and peace.

Being at a Rainbow is like standing out of time. It is a free and loving community where a weary mind just wanders off and gives in to intuition and spontaneousness.

In a Rainbow Gathering, you can find healers, musicians, gypsies, moms and dads, spiritualists, naturalists, exiles of Society, warriors of the Truth, nomads of modern times...

Every day, you are bound to have a good time; living in a thriving, open-minded and communal environment. We share what we have, and teach what we know; we are allteachers, and we are all students.

We believe in nonviolence, vegetarianism, naturalism, in group decisionmaking, in diversity andequality, in cooperation and mutualism, and our traditions strongly follow Native American ways of life.

At any of our Gatherings, which traditionally happen in a different location every year, and almost always happen far away from cities, you can be sure to find plenty of laughs, songs and good connections.

There are campfires aplenty, tea shops, trade circles, shows and entertainment, seas of stars and deals of medicinal plants and berries to pick; yoga camps, music camps - you name it, it may just be there! And if not, you are more than welcome to come and set your own up!!

Kids are always welcome and loved within our Family, and have a dedicated Kids Camp which is supervised by a mature person. And our kitchen provides three nutritious, vegan meals every day.

However, it is to say that heavy drugs and violence are not tolerated, and alcohol is strongly discouraged - if you cannot leave her behind for a while, we ask you to take it outside the main areas, and there is usually a site dedicated for those who like to drink.

All is asked of you as you join us, is to bring your good vibes and good intentions, to come as prepared as you can, and to lest off any weighs you can.

And to please volunteer some time, bring food - bulk, grains, healthies, fruits and veggies... not to forget lovely SPICES!- and contribute monetarily if you can - even a dollar a day helpskeep the supplies up and pay for keeping the dream alive!

Very cool, thank you. My french is terrible, is this a problem? haha. Maybe if im not working for the machine il head that way. Im more so hoping to catch one in B.c this August, but need more details/ ☮
