"George W. Bush For sticking to his guns (literally and figuratively), for reshaping the rules of politics to fit his ten-gallon-hat leadership style and for persuading a majority of voters that he deserved to be in the White House for another four years, George W. Bush is TIME's 2004 Person of the Year" http://www.time.com/time/personoftheyear/2004/story.html I Don't know what they have been smoking at Time, but they need to lay off that shit.
well they said it was mostly from his "influence", whether it was bad or good... they also said something like, whether you voted for him or not, you have to realize he has alot of influence around the world and here in our own country.
I just love how everytime a news source says something you guys disagree with they are wrong or have a right wing agenda, Grow Up
to be honest I watch a few diffrent news networks, that way I can get the view of the left a view of the right and make up my mind somewhere in the middle
i've actually stopped turning to the channel now... but i do like print media because with many newspapers and magazines, you can't quite tell if a certain organization is on the right or left, compared to cable media.
Just curious what you consider to be the "left" media. Are we talking centrist/mainstream CBS and CNN here, or genuine left/progressive outlets like Pacifica, Democracy Now!, Free Speech TV, IndyMedia, etc. If your media spectrum considers stuff like CNN to be "leftist", you are getting an awful skewed view of the world.
All Media is just pro-status quo, and fox is pro-status quo with a right wing edge to it....they all suck. Peace and Love, Dan
Not one of the eager critics offered an alternate choice. When I read the thread title, GW Bush was the first name I thought of, yet I am not a big fan of his. If not him, then I would choose Aung San Soo Kyi, she is awesome.
