Man coffee is ridiculously expensive. I don't want to buy folgers or any of that cheap garbage. Id like to buy the local made stuff. I know where its roasted and who does it, and its good stuff. No fucking way am i going to pay $12.99 for a bag of coffee that will last me one work week. So i buy tea. I get 20 bags per box for $3.99 and it lasts me almost 3 weeks. It taste good. The water here is good, and thats that. When i go to work i drink their coffee. They don't want us to but we do anyways. I even borrow their chocolate syrup and milk to add to it. heheheh
Coffee is my staple drink... and I buy whole bean. I DON'T WANT TO KNOW how much it costs... Even though I'm the one that buys it I just have to ignore the cost. It would freak me out if I dwell on how much it cost. :coffee:
the stuff i usually but is $17.99/bag.... it goes on sale for $12.99 every couple of months somewhere, and i stock up. it's worth it.
I have just stopped buying it. Now i don't have to buy extra sugar, cream or anything else i put in it. Tea is just....tea. And i can even use the bags twice ^_^.
Tea is my preference anyway. All kinds of teas. This summer I have been brewing peach ginger tea and pouring it over ice, it really tickles my fancy.
I don't ever drink coffee but I recently went to buy beans because I learned if you light a candle and surround it by coffee beans it will make your house smell like coffee bean goodness. I was shocked at the price. I did not purchase any and now my house will never smell like coffee.
I drink coffee in the winter sometimes. I can't see how the people I work with can drink cup after cup when it's 100 degrees I can't stomache tea. I want to like it but it triggers my gag reflex. The only kind I can drink is the green tea citrus stuff, which I like pretty well.
Local coffee? Do you live in Brazil? I have a favourite brand of instant for my morning joe, but I'll drink Timmies or Starbucks if I am out for a treat.
Coffee has become really expensive. My shop buys the 2lb bags of dunkin doughnuts original blend or whatever in bulk, so I just drink theirs. It's pretty decent coffee, but after 6 months of 3+ cups a day.. I would really like to switch it up.
No i live in the Corrupt US of A. Its roasted here and as far as i know its as fresh as you can ask for unless you picked the bean from the tree yourself. Im not sure where they get their beans actually....now i need to find out.
I have heard that there is a very expensive type of coffee made from beans that have been eaten and shit out by an animal. That's not something I would pay extra for, personally. Linky link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kopi_Luwak
I've heard it's been getting more expensive because of bad harvests and (because they predicted great harvests) also bad trade speculations. Actually the trade speculations are the biggest trigger in coffee price increases.
