try drawing on tracing paper for quick sketches

 

I'm writing a Western Novel right now and the main character is an Indian who breaks free from being a slave and turns into a vigilante. I was trying to come up with a picture for the cover and just drew it on a piece of paper in the same notebook I'm writing my story in. I'm not an artist by any means this is my first attempt at drawing anything actually, I'm a writer.

 

write his headband on straight...indians dont use a gangster slant

 

I tilted it because I thought it would look too bland if it was straight. But thank you for your advice.
