Both of my boys have the stomach bug. The oldest is coming out of it but the youngest is turning a whiter shade of white.

We've tried dry toast, flat gingerale, pepto, water, and crackers. Nothing stays down for the lil' guy. Any suggestions? (he's 4 years old)

My lil' ones have been vommitting since yesterday afternoon.

Milk is not good when your sick. Any type of dair products can make the tummy worse.

Thank you for your suggestion though.

ps. I have to say this HOWEVER it is in no way shape or form putting her down or talking trash about her but Interval made a comment yesterday about getting what's coming to me. We'll she was right. After she said that about 2 hours later my oldest got sick. 5 hours later the second one got sick. We were taking shifts all night taking care of the boys and cleaning up puke. We are still repeating the process.

Did you try plain pasta. It seems to work for my girls. Also, if he keeps on throwin up, make sure he gets enough fluids in him, if possible, so he does not dehidrate. Give him Gatorade or water. Gatorate does work better for kids throwin up. Good Luck Peanuts. I know exactially what you are going through..................

    Thank you DoDaMan.

We didn't try pasta. I am almost afraid too. However I have never tried or heard of that before. We just might try that.

Water doesn't even seem to want to stay down. I'm worried about dehydration too. If this continues this afternoon I am going to call the Doctor. Maybe they can call something into the pharmacy for him to stop the upsets. Once that happens he can get something into him.

I know these things have to ride their course but I can't stand seeing my lil' one hurting.

It's weird. One moment he's talking fine and looking like he's feeling better and then he gets that look  and no one moves just waiting to see what he will do next.

I am buying jello this afternoon. Then I think for dinner we will have chicken soup.

    I really appreciate everyone's suggestions.

I am afraid to do that. He had ice cream yesterday before the vommits. I might try that though tomorrow because it's light and it might have a different reaction tomorrow.

I swear by it. soft serve is best, but any bland ice creamlike concoction works wonders on me.

Gatorade!!! It is great for dehydration. Don't feed him anything until he has stopped vomiting for a couple of hours. If he's hungry and is interested in food, give him plain food. Ever heard of the BRAT diet? Banana, rice, applesauce then toast (dried) It's supposed to be the best thing to use with children who are sick with the stomach flu.
