I gave up on those things after a few broke. And I refuse to buy another one, they are crap. I don't understand why everyone has such a hard on for Apple. They are just as bad as Microsoft, they were just not a clever with 3rd party licensing, therefore no one bothers to write a virus for them because no one has one. They are not a better of safer system in any way. It just looks that way because of the lack of viruses. But if they were a real threat, and people bought them, then of course that could change. Despite what Apple would like you to believe you CAN make a virus for an Apple.

iPods are fucking awesome. I have an itouch that I've been tossing around for the past two and a half years and it's not even scratched. What the fuck do you do to yours? Throw it in a volcano or something?

 

Used it for music, then sooner then later they freeze.

 

Then you are just very unlucky.

 

My wife's Ipod went through a full on wash cycle in my washer. It still works like a charm after 3 or 4 years

i lost my zune earlier this week, i was pretty drunk though. it just so happens that the day before i lost it i got my new(to me) ipod classic in the mail. - true story.
you might ask why i had ordered an ipod if i had the zune already. well ipods work better in car stereos and i was looking for something that fit all my cd's on one mp3 player so the 160gb ipod was the easy choice. though now i need another cheap player for when i go on my drunken adventures.

I despise Apple for having a monopoly (citation needed) over the mp3 player business. My iPod Touch headphone jack only works for one side, i want a rather large memory for an mp3 player but everything has been discontinued besides the regular IPod. I'm not going to pay for that expensive over marketed bullshit.

 

it's not a monopoly. there's plenty of really great mp3/other media players out there, that just because everyone buys an apple product and their proprietary shit don't work with nothing else, it's not a monopoly.

the 15 dollar mp3 players from the drug store that they sell next to the holiday decorations play just as well, albeit they don't have screens

 

I wanted a mp3 with like 32+ GB memory, they rarely exist unless it is an mp4 multimedia brand name toy or an IPod Classic

 

8 gigs can put over a weeks worth of music on it..

if you cant wait til you're at home to watch videos on an actual screen, then you have a multimedia addiction and need to look up before something smacks you in the face

 

i wouldnt call it an addiction. i just would like to have all my cds on one device. and just putting my store bought cds on my classic took up 60GB and of course now i still have all the ones that i have burned over the last 13 years to go.

 

Nah bro i have a 16GB IPod that can't even fit my library of music. Try again i have all my videos on an external hard drive.
