    ...and what have we done?

Does anyone see the situation in Iraq getting any better at all over Christmas and the New Year?

No....In fact I'm going to a funeral tomorrow for a family member who just died in Iraq on the 9th. I've had these little spurts of crying every day since I found out. To think of all the other families out there who will be missing someone for the holidays...or at all... all because of this mess we shouldn't even be part of.....

And to think my own fiance MAY be sent in that general direction (no one really knows where the fuck he'll be sent yet) in just a couple of months.....

I wish he'd never joined the af...but I couldn't stop him, it was his choice, and I'll stand by him no matter what because I love him....but dammit....just dammit.

I Dont see it getting any better for the next 4 christmas's atleast.
The insurgents seem to have somthing major planned for the iraqi election also. So it prolly is going to just get worse from this point on.

The heat is on, and it looks like it will stay on for the forseeable future. Expect Santa Claus to visit Mosul any day now......

It'll keep getting worse. And no matter what the outcome of the elections, it will be used as a reason for a permanent US presence, you know, to "make sure the will of the Iraqi people is carried out."

The year 2005 will be a VERY bad one in which to be male and reach age 21.

    (My predictions, YMMV)
