Government agents on these boards?

I'm sure everyone on here knows what COINTELPRO was/is and the nature of their activities, and on top of that, I'm sure many of you are aware that the Chinese government has a division dedicated solely to derailing any kind of dissenting conversation on internet forums, so I'm willing to bet that there are probably a few people on here with a similar job description.

As far as the Chinese forum issue goes, their primary method, beyond outright silencing these opinions, is distraction and radicalization. Boards are inundated with posts that are not necessarily pro-governemnt on the surface, but take the conversation in a different direction or discredit the original author of the dissenting post.

So, by this logic, it is highly likely that our governments employ some of the regular posters on this site. Now in the sea of immaturity that is the internet, it is difficult to determine who's just an argumentative individual versus someone with an agenda. Most threads tend to have tangential arguments that distract from the original discussion and sometimes pull it into a completely different realm where the original content or information is no longer pertinent to the conversation.

These are just some thoughts I had.

even air surveilance on weed growers is becoming a myth...they cant afford to keep planes in the air at the rate that is needed to actually find growers and when they do it is usually cause of a rat

dunno that they'd bother employing actual users to derail conversations here. there are plenty of much more radical places on these internets for them to be worrying about, they might check up every now and again.

 

homeland security and csis dont give a flying fuck about hippies using dope and posting pictures here,discussing each others lives etc...they would need a specific reason or someone to point[rat]....we dont have a forum discussing the various uses of dish soap here so i think we are ok
