not at all......he's the kind of person that will deny any criticism and be like oh they don't know what they're talking about .....before he tried weed he thought he'd hallucinate and see unicorns ad shyt.......he thinks he's skinny but is actually pretty overweight.....he's beyond ignorant just trust me guys i know him.... i know i sound like a douche right now, but its the cold truth to his life.

side not when he did do weed he got extremely self conscious and thought badly of his life, but he blamed it on just being high, but it sounds like to me he was seeing a different perspective for the first time and he was seeing a lil truth in himself, but wouldn't accept it....this happened every single time he smoked before he just quit

Yes, people's reactions to psychedelics vary greatly. But since you know this guy apparently better than anyone else in the world, then by all means, you should take it upon yourself to protect him from all the evils in the world in order to preserve his relationship with his family, who you clearly hold in high regard. (Let us know how that turns out)

Do you see the problem with your reasoning here? If you think he can't handle it, and if you truly have a say in the matter, why would you consider it in the first place? Mushrooms are not going to turn your friend into Charlie Manson. Now if you told me that your friend was mentally ill, that would be a different story, but as much as it pains me to say this - having HARDCORE Christian parents does not mean you have a mental illness.

Just because you don't share his beliefs doesn't meen his life is based on lies, and it is CERTAINLY not fact that it's based on lies.

It's HIS belief that there is a God, Christ, yada yada yada, just like it's YOUR belief that there's not. Just because your opinion is your opinion doesn't make it fact.

I'm not Christian either, but blindly saying that it's all a bunch of lies is in itself INCREDIBLY ignorant and narrow-minded.

Given that, I'd say you’re in no position whatsoever to decide his fate, so to speak. If he wants to try Mushrooms and the Psychedelic experience, who are you to deny him that? Doing that makes you no better than his parents who you dislike for their supposed imposition of their beliefs on him.

Be the better person and help him as much as you can, with the decisions HE makes.
Don't make his decisions for him.

I think you're more worried about him becoming someone different, purely because you don't want him to change.

Pretty selfish if that's the case.

obviously not a fact lol, but let me post my earlier post "not at all......he's the kind of person that will deny any criticism and be like oh they don't know what they're talking about .....before he tried weed he thought he'd hallucinate and see unicorns ad shyt.......he thinks he's skinny but is actually pretty overweight.....he's beyond ignorant just trust me guys i know him.... i know i sound like a douche right now, but its the cold truth to his life.

we're like brothers i've known him since childhood i know him better than his mom probably.... and if he wants to experience psychedelics by all means do it with your own resources, but i'm too close to him to supply him with the shrooms and not worry about the possibilities of what might he become, because of my drugs i gave to him....kinda understanding my side now?

lol no you have it all wrong i would love for him to open his mind and become a better person....honestly it gets kind of hard sometimes, because our perception of life is sooooo diffrent so it'd be cool if he changed

    I never misunderstood your 'side'.

If it was my friend, who I cared about, I'd rather they got the shrooms from me. I'd know potency, dose to try, and that they were safe, rather than letting him loose to go with his "own resources" since it seems like his resources don't stretch that far outwith you.

I'd rather it was safe, and deal with the consequences regardless of what happens, than leave him to himself to possibly have an unsafe experience.

1st time tripper on 4g's? I think high up mushy doses for a first time is a bit harsh, cos those fuckers are relentless. Chill out to 2 or 3g, or give him 3 tabs if you've got access to 'em.

Jan irvin's book have done a good job picking up where John Allegro left off.

Though Jan Irvin is sort of a crack pot.... he believes that AIDS is the bodies natural defense to having semen pumped up your ass for years and years and that there is no such thing as a AIDS virus and that all those people dying from AIDS in Africa are actually dying from other curable diseases but there is a huge government conspiracy to make us believe it is uncurable AIDS so that the white man can continue to kill off the black man.

I think the world is in the state it is in because we have to much tolerance for other peoples faiths and our own. Why is it that no other aspect of society has as large of a taboo then questioning someone's view on the world? No other part of society do we let people get away with arguing something without any evidence to back up their claim but when it comes to questions of faith we are told to backoff. Religion is shaping our world for the worse but we are not allowed to talk about it.

Such as stem cell research..... religion people are against it and have blocked it in the US and when you ask why they can just throw up the wall of " my religion says so and therefore I don't have to have any evidence as to why ai want to block research that could help millions of people. You can not have a rational argument with religious people because in their mind religion is the end all trump card and ends e arguement.... no evidence needed.

The same goes for religious people.... there is a taboo againest them denouncing extremeists publically because it may bring their own beliefs into question. It is the religious moderates that are responsible for keeping the most extreme among them in line but they don't or can't without raising questions qvout the rest of their faith.

"Religion people are against stem cell research"?

American Baptist Churches in the U.S.A.

The group has no explicit policy on the issue; rather it states that "one must be guided by one's own relationship with God and Scripture."
    Buddhism

Though Buddhist teachings do not directly address the issue, there are two main tenets - the prohibition against harming or destroying others (ahimsa), and the pursuit of knowledge (prajña) and compassion (karua) - that divide Buddhist scholars and communities. Some Buddhists argue that stem cell research is in accordance with the Buddhist tenet of seeking knowledge and ending human suffering, while others argue that it is a violation of the notion of not harming others.

    Catholicism

In accordance with their anti-abortion stance, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops supports adult stem cell research but opposes embryonic stem cell research since it creates or destroys human embryos.

    Episcopal Church

In 2004, the church's governing body, the General Convention, declared itself in favor of stem cell research as long as the embryos used would have been destroyed otherwise, the embryos were not created solely for research purposes and the embryos were not bought or sold.

    Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

The ELCA does not have an official position on the issue. In 2005, the Churchwide Assembly, the governing body of the church, created a task force to study the issues of genetics and biotechnology and to present a report in 2011.

    Hinduism

Though Hinduism believes that life begins at conception, the religion has no official position on stem cell research.

    Islam

There is no explicit Islamic ruling on the issue of stem cell research. While some Muslim leaders allow for stem cell research on the ground that, according to Islam, an embryo in the early stage of pregnancy does not have a soul, others argue that the termination of an embryo at any stage of pregnancy is morally impermissible.

    Judaism

All major Jewish denominations - including the Reform, Conservative, Orthodox and Reconstructionist movements - support both embryonic and adult stem cell research as long as it is for medical or therapeutic purposes.

No. You can't have a rational argument with people who lump all religions together and then make sweeping, misinformed generalizations about all religions. I really wish the world was that black and white, my friend, but it isn't - and people who see the world as black and white are very vulnerable to being mislead in a great many things.

Stem cell research/religion. The time machine has dropped me off a decade ago!
We've moved well beyond the embryonic stem cell issue.
