What happend to me?

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen.

Today, I approach you with a problem that has been bothering me. See, I've tripped on acid and 2c-e for a few times now, and so my dealer got a new print, which was supposed to be stronger. So me and a few friends went to my country house and we took 5 tabs each. We were all good friends and the setting was great. Nature and isolation. So we started tripping and after about 2-3 hours I started loosing control of myself and it was as if I was in a dream. That condition remained active for about 3 hours. I could remember only faint images, but I remember that the things I saw and did were terrible. I felt as if I had relived the day being each one of my friends at a time. Then I had a feeling that I have committed something terrible and was sitting in utter despair. The worst thing was the fact that it was all outside of my control, as if something was controlling me. After the 3 hours of madness I "wake up" sitting on a bed and having a terrible feeling in my gut, as if there are stones inside. That feeling remained up until I waked up the next day. My friends were reporting a same strange dream-like experience, however, not as negative.

After that, 10 days later, me and my best friend went to the country house to trip on the same tabs I tripped on last time. We dosed, and after about 2-3 hours the same thing started happening. It was as if descending into madness. A descent I could not control even though I've tripped on more tabs earlier and it never happend. And it was the same: a dream-like state, faint, episodic memories of terrible things being said and thought, a feeling of committing something terrible and overwhelming despair, and a terrible feeling in my gut after "waking up" standing outside that stayed until the next day. My best friend reported a same "dream-like" experience, however, again, not as negative. I was left feeling a little bit depressed. He, however, wasn't.

So, ladies and gentlemen, does anyone have any idea why the trips went like this? Was it the acid? Was it something else?

 

I think your dealer may have sold you DOx instead of LSD. It's sometimes sold as "acid" by pieces of shit who don't feel the need to tell their customers what drugs they are selling them, even though it's a completely different experience with completely different timelines and completely different safety margins.

The reason I think this is because:

- you've done LSD before and for some reason this "new batch" gives a really different experience

- this new experience is much less lucid (LSD) and much more confusing and dreamy (DOx)

- you had the feeling of stones in your gut (DOx body load, this description made me think of my one DOC trip immediately, it literally was like having pebbles in my stomach)

- both times it took 2-3 hours before the effects started (possible with LSD, but since your previous tabs hit much faster, and these ones are consistently 2-3 hours before madness, sounds like DOx)

DOx can be very beautiful and euphoric, so your friends experienced a much more dreamlike state but not as uncomfortable as you, which makes sense, you had a bit more of a bad trip on the DOx, probably because you weren't told it was DOx and were expecting LSD. I suggest calling your dealer out on it and making the point that it is NOT OK with you that he sold you anything other than LSD as "acid". This is extremely unethical at best, and downright dangerous and stupid at worst. What if you wanted to eat 20 hits and experience a crazy (but perfectly physically safe) LSD ego death experience? 20 hits of DOx might stop your heart, and would for SURE end up with you in the hospital quite quickly.

 

But wouldn't a DOx trip last much longer? The "acid" (in both cases) started kicking in just like regular acid, about 15-30 minutes in. The effects resembled acid very closely. Up until 2-3 hours into the trip just kept getting more intense. After that - madness. And release in 3 hours, and a comedown with stones in the gut that almost faded when we went to sleep.

 

sounds to me as if you knew these doses were strong and attempted to push the LSD gods further than you are ready for.. Greedy mindset is no way to enter a trip..

if 5 hits only lasted 8-12 hours then that's likely LSD. I've gotten some gut ache on good LSD before, it happens, especially if your gut is sensitive like mine. I don't know how I missed the "5 hits" part i thought you just took one hit and had this crazy dreamlike delusional state. I don't know why you reacted that way, but it sounds like you weren't prepared for it. Your setting sounds ok superficially but for all i know there was some poor choice there, or like i said you were not in the set for 5 strong hits of LSD.

5 hits of strong LSD will give you serious ego melting experiences, hence you feeling like you were your friends and such. my most powerful trip was on 5 hits of good acid, i had to relearn how to walk and eat for the first time, it's very deep. i think you should research the concept of "ego death".

 

But why was their a memory loss and loss of control?

 

Because on 5 hits of strong acid there is barely anyone there inside your head TO form memories or have control. That's what ego loss brings. You can't take 5 hits of strong acid and have "plans" nor will the experience be easily recordable by your brain, being such an alien state of mind. Look up "ego loss", it sounds like this effect is causing you discomfort because you aren't aware that psychedelics cause it.

sure it does, lsd doesn't get metabolized slower just because there's more of it. my shortest trip ever was on my biggest dose ever . . . 15 hits of liquid = 7-8 hours of real tripping (followed by 24-48 hours of residual effects, yes, but the trip itself is the same length whether you take 1 hit or 10 hits. The AFTEREFFECTS of a huge dose could last months or years of course, but you wouldn't say that someone who's never been the same since that thumbprint in 1969 has been "tripping for 40 years" lol)

Alright, so the same thing happend to me again. The setting was familiar, I was with a sober friend, and I haven't done anything for a year. So I get 2 hits (I am 100% sure it is LSD) and drop them. The acid starts kicking in 30 minutes in, with the intensity gradually increasing. At about T+1:30-2:00 I, again, loose control. I, just like that last two times, can't grasp the exact moment I loose control. It is as if you get very drunk and at one point it just all goes into a mist. This is the third time in a row it happend. Ever since that trip in the country house this is already the third acid experience in a row that I loose control. And I know this is not the way it is supposed to be, because I have tripped on acid and 2c-e a few times before and I know how a trip is supposed to feel. That was NOT a trip feel. It was more of a "drunk mist" feel. So, once again, from T+1:30-2 and up until about T+7:00 I only see dream-like visions of various crazy stuff that is all happening in my head. My friend reported me just sitting and counting something with my fingers, then he said I went to the toilet, and I wasn't reacting in any way to him speaking to me, and I was just silent the whole time, and then I came back to the room with him (again, not speaking) And I don't remember ANYTHING of what he said, and, just, basicly remember vaguely parts of me sitting and doing nothing, but mostly it was as if I have been watching a dream. And so when I finally "wake up" from the acid mist at T+7:00 I, again, get this feeling of stones in my gut. It is now T+20, I have slep for about 8 hours, and I feel like my mind is drained. I'm thinking rather slowly...

I am very confused. What happend? Did anyone have any similair experience? Will I ever be able to trip normally again? Did my brain create some sort of chemical barrier against acid?

Please help me... I want to trip normally again.

First find a better/more relyable source. Having had experience with mega doses back in the day of both Sandoz and the best of brother Bear's best if it's truely pure acid the quanity of the dose should not affect the quality of the trip only the duration.

 

It was different acid this time, I am 100% sure it is good quality real acid. I think something is wrong with me. Or my brain chemistry. Someting definitely changed after that trip in the country house.

 

man that sucks.i love acid and if this happend to me i would be bummed also.think i would try shrooms or mescalin next to see what happens.or you might wanna try a real light dose next time.

 

You mentioned you couldn't control it, so if you were trying to control it, stop that. That could be why it was so negative. Just let those kind of trips dissolve your ego.

 

You started on shitty doses and couldnt handle the same amount when it was actually good acid. Nothings wrong, you just cant handle that much. Take fewer hits.

 

Maybe the fact your constantly on edge about the fact that you had that bad trip in the first place has played about with your head a bit on recent trips.

Basically, your going into it worrying about having a bad trip, and having one cause of that.

Would you report that the ego loss remains in the way of a "scar" so to speak? What i mean is, is there permanently less Mr. Writer after the trip, even if only a tad bit less, than before the acid trip? Or would you say that the ego comes back all the way?

And so what is the goal of psychedelics? Is the goal to reach permanent ego loss after enough acid trips? Or is ego loss only one figment of the psychedelic "goal"? Or is there no goal, nor function, to psychedelics?

That's not true. Upping the dose will increase the intensity of the trip, but the timeline remains relatively constant regardless of dose.
