Especially when all the hobgoblins come to steal the quicksilverwater that pumps through the farm, makes things difficult.

Proof is in the pudding. Can't have any pudding unless you eat your meat.

you too?....curse that irrigation system....we had to hire a special elf from ukraine or some place...he would prime the pumps every morning with elf pee...seemed to keep them running better than with every day dwarf pee.......

but we are way off subject...at my 8th b day party we had a unicorn party but we had a problem keeping the balloons from popping

    From wiki:
The translators of the Authorized King James Version of the Bible (1611) followed the Greek Septuagint (monokeros) and the Latin Vulgate (unicornis)[14] and employed unicorn to translate re'em, providing a recognizable animal that was proverbial for its un-tamable nature. The American Standard Version translates this term "wild ox" in each case.

    Yep.
Since you missed the point, let me help you: Taking the bible as literal is laughable.

I think you might have missed the point that, if anything, it's the literal interpretation of the KJV that's laughable.

Yes, but you just went to a lot of effort to make a shallow point, and now you're calling people stupid for pointing out subtleties.

Actually, I'm the queen of sarcasm, but I also know the difference between sarcasm and teenagers hammering down a point that has been made 1,000,000 times before, thinking that because it's new to them (mocking the bible) than it must be a revolutionary idea for everyone. I'm not offended and I get what your point is, I'm just saying it's neither clever nor original.

It is possible to have a civil discussion about religion and one's beliefs, and I find it both fascinating and necessary, but it does not begin with either side blindly criticizing and mocking the other--whether they read it in the Bible or in a Richard Dawkins book.

Indeed. Let's never say or do anything that's been talked about or done before. Sacrilege. :)

When it's done that many times? Yeah, I'd say so. Particularly when it's done in a non-constructive, immature manner.

To each their own. Move on. No one is telling you to read it or comment.
