So, My friend is looking for relief from withdrawal and obtained 10mg Methadone pills. His habit consists of an average of 60mg of oxy a day just to keep the withdrawals away. He doesn't get high or even the slightest buzz off that amount. It takes him at least 120mg to begin to feel anything.

My question is how much 'done should he take? The whole 10mg? I have already explained to him all the dangers and how long the half life of that shit is. I just haven't found any good info about dosing for someone with a moderate (That is what I would consider it anyway) opiate addiction.

Yes. He will need at least 10 mg just to keep w/d away. The conversion from 120 mg of Oxycodone to Methadone would give a number around 25 mg Methadone in actuality. 60 mg of Oxycodone would be equal to about 15-20 mg of Methadone. The Methadone conversion scale is not linear like every other opioid.

Thanks. He isn't lookin for a buzz just w/d relief so i'll tell him to try 10 first.

Another thing... he took 4mg of klonopin 5 hours ago. Would that pose a bad threat?

If he is tolerant to opioids, it should not, granted he only take 10 mg of Methadone. If he is not tolerant, perhaps he should try 5 mg of Methadone first and if that doesn't help the dope-sickness, take the other half.

He took 10 and he is fine. Hyper as all fuck and sweating his ass off but he is fine. We are looking for some subs for him b/c i know its easier to get off of than 'done.

It's cheaper to buy subs off the street than see a Dr. Sucks but true. It's just insanely hard to find. Everyone is on them, and I do mean everyone (this city is full of opi-addicts), but they take their meds (which is good) so it's rare on the street.
