    But we may share thoughts.

Is that why you buck the trend?

i'll discuss something like that with someone who would be able to take my opinions as opinions, but i avoid it with people who are stubborn and want everyone to be the same as them. believe what i believe or GTFO!
    ._. none of that please

wise move. debate is always best seen as a method of furthering your own understanding and re-evaluating your own position, rather than trying to persuade other people. if their position changes over the course of dialogue, then that's all to the good, but its best not to see this as your primary focus, IMO

Since the existence of god is ultimately unknown, not debating from a position of 100 percent certainty should help to move beyond the common dialogue. It is most commonly a theist trait but atheists fall into that trap too.

I consider myself a theist but I'm open to the possibility that I could be wrong.

when having absolute certainty , there's no need to prevail .
yet what i say is only reasonable , and reason is manipulatable
thus uncertain . i do not prevail .

should i be a theist , reason is not god .
    knowledge may come unreasonably and
prove useful and true enough .

the preacher said i could not play music with
the church gospel band , but , now he's moving
away far away . perhaps the new pastor will be
more unreasonable and i can go barefoot too -
as in take yur shoes off moses yur standing on holy
    ground .

my only prayer is , oh , bring me to sensibility . i . i get
so goofy from lonesomeness for one thing . in the universal will
    i prevail even if i don't mean to ?
