Ever since a small kid I've always had vivid dreams and dreams that still to this day I can remember as if they were DVD quality, So these types of things are nothing new to me. But last night I had one that I can't actually stop thinking about, all day its been bugging me.

I've never been really one to think into dreams before, Just see them as having a active imagination, never has one got me thinking like this. Like I need to make sense of it.

I had a read through some of the posts on here and people seem to put a bit of background information about them self so Im Dave, 25, from Portsmouth UK, have a solid job, haven't got anything worrying me really apart from a bit of debt but thats nothing I'm really fussed about. I'll include these fact because there the only things I can think of that could be to do with the dreams - that I used to do a fair amount of drugs (will state not crack though - as that featured heavily in this dream) - up until 2 years ago last month. And that I split up with my fiance 2 months ago (Say this because a girl featured heavily in this dream) although I'm now seeing some one else - nothing to serious yet but shes great.

So the dream - Please excuse the fact it seems a bit Sci-Fi Action film style. Its the only way I can word what happened.

So pretty much from the earliest bit I can remember I was homeless (Not in the fact I was a bum, but more the whole place was destroyed by war) and looking for some where to call home (as you do)
all around me there was war going on, like proper street wars, "mad max" the movie style (but with raging crack heads) I found this place I decided to shack up in and it was a really weird futuristic under ground building with a massive electric fireman's pole to get down between the levels (we're talking at least 30 levels to this building)
after a while of being down there and exploring (the place was big enough to be classed as a small city) and meeting the various crack fiends, dealers, general weird people looking like cannibals and stuff, I come across this room with a golden glow coming out of it, I stroll in there and its this mass armory (Uzis, Rocket Launchers, Grenades, AK's, Swords, you name it, its in there!)
So naturally I stock up on EVERYTHING, take it back to my bodged up house, and some how ending up face to face with this gang (Must of been about 6 Geeza's in total) who have taken this Lass hostage, she was tied up the lot, and they corner me, one of them's got a flick knife to my throat when out of the blue comes the most mental back wards dive mixed with a volley to the chin resulting in said flick knife now being 4inch inside mateys face, some mental battle erupts, and obviously I destroy 'em all with the new found Katana that some how appeared on a sheath on my back (would of been a bad dream if I died init)
So i save the girl and gives it the old "You saved me, blah blah blah" but then starts banging on about how this gang has got her hooked on rocks and she needs my help getting off it. And that also all the war thats been going on outside has been because of her, or some computer chip thats been planted up in her head anyway. Supposedly if the street gangs got it, then the world is f**ked. Simple as that - she never said why, or how, but I just accepted it.
We get back to the house and she asks for help coming off the white, and goes through all the usual withdrawal symptoms, and then once thats over with she decides to learn to use the new found mass weapon depot she has available to her, all along the way small pockets off gangs attack the building but the same over the top death scenes (the type you see in manga films) meet all of them. until at the end, shes a real force to be reckoned with and we've become a solid team.
The weird thing is though, no matter how hard I'm trying I can't see her face, its just a blur, and she refuses to say her name.
After a while the attacks on the gaff get so extreme that the place is blown to bits. I'm talking the whole bad-a-boom-bang! Nothing left! Just rubble.
So we have no choice but to take the war to them, Just the 2 of us against a whole army and the battle's immense I'm talking if you take army's the size of a battle from Lord Of The Rings mixed with the brutality of the manga bit from Kill Bill your still not quite on the same scale as this. And we're coming out on top, we both take a few bruises but nothing major.
We come out to this building and in all honestly I don't have a clue what it was, but it was obvious where we was heading. we start battling our way up and get to a lift, as we leave the lift. we get ambushed by a group of samurais, I get taken down and one of them pulls a 12 gauge out to my face, just before he jacks the trigger, she turns round pistol whips him to the back of the head and as he goes down he lets off a shell into her chest.
With that I go blood red rage style mad and leap up planting a sword deep into his heart before diving to the floor to grab the still unknown girl. As she's in my arms, blatantly dying, she turns and says to me "Just because you never knew my name doesn't mean you can't take something from this..... Never forget that you....." then dies and I wake straight up.

I can't work out why my brain wouldn't
    1. Let her finish that last sentence.
    2. give her a face.
    3. or a name.

Its actually driving me mad. I woke up feeling lost, Like I felt that I had actually lost some one, and that I needed to work out who this girl had been. In the dream I could tell I was attached to her, and her presence made her seem beautiful. But she had no name, or face. I don't know what to think of it.

How do you start to make sense of dreams like this???

I have done quite a bit of research on dreaming, as I have also questioned many strange dreams I've had. One interesting theory on dreams I read is that dreams prepare you for the future. Maybe this dream is a way of telling you to not let anyone slip away from your life without knowing who they truly are? Give that some thought, that dreams let you experience real life situations without them actually happening.

Yeah to be fair that makes a fair bit of scene with what you say there.
