I did cid once indoors and I was just sort of pondering the contents of my overwhelming subconscious, didn't feel like listening to music. I will surely pick out some music for my next trip. Anyways what do you listen to?

A lot of 60's/70's psychedelic rock: Pink Floyd, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Some psytrance/chill: Shpongle, Infected Mushroom, 12,000 Micrograms, OTT, Shulman, Hallucinogen Other: Tool, Radiohead, Muse, Chemical Brothers, The triptastic music thread in the synthetic drugs forum has some good stuff too.
Magical Mystery Tour and Srgt Peppers Lonely Heats club specifically. Doors, led, jimi, ect as suggested.
The thousands of hours editing really show through on bands like Pink Floyd (specifically the Wish You Were Here album) and the Flaming Lips (Specifically Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots). Ratatat have some really trippy stuff. I also love listening to just chill sounding bands like Blind Melon and Portugal. The Man. Sometimes I like to break it down with some really simple sounding music, basically bands that you can pick out every song and know what instrument they are playing like the Black Keys and such. Grass Roots really know what they are talking about when you are tripping, I post this on every music thread as a great anthem: Let's Live For Today. (You can't easily find the studio version of that song streaming online, best to just download the album or best of or buy the CD)
Thanks yall, I'm trying to make a few mix CDs. Upper, ya that grass roots song is the type of vibe I'm looking for. Similar vibe to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0UcQDUR-fU"]The Mamas & The Papas - California dreamin - YouTube also this vibe is great for tripping: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DW3pZjmS3rg"]Planet Caravan - Black Sabbath - YouTube
That vibe is great man. One word of advice though: One vibe is not enough, at least not for me. That is why I have such a huge mix of music on my ipod for tripping. I mean, listen to this song at your peak, it caused me to cry at its beauty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jTuKHKIT4w"]the flaming lips In the Morning of the Magicians - YouTube I even like to have some Wu-Tang on my ipod and some Imortal Technique if I want to hear some killa rhymes, which can be fun while tripping.

I've tripped indoors once just because it seems like all these hip forum goers do and I wanted to see what the fuss was about. Not for me. Never again. Unless indoors=rave
I prefer music later in the trip, maybe as peaking comes to an end and integration begins or later. In the early period and when peaking, music can be a distraction to me as well. The Ripple side of American Beauty is some of the strongest tripping music I know of - to me, it's like this side is tripping vs. being about tripping - life, transcendence, death, rebirth, hope, love. No trippy sounds except you can hear the love. The Incredible String Band was a true band of committed acid-heads talking with acid-heads. Articles on ISB sometimes talk about "folk-rock" - right, folkie tunes about This Moment, death and rebirth, time, consciousness, and so on. Again, no trippy sounds. Take a couple of orange barrels (haha, all gone) and listen to people who really do care that you get higher and do well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEfqpvnZD6E&feature=related"]The Incredible String Band - A Very Cellular Song. 1968 (Complete Song) - YouTube These days I'm listening to a lot of Aes Dana, Asura, and Solar Fields. I love how you mentioned hiphop while trippin I'm the only one of my friends who actually enjoy the style of music while trippin balls. Sure there's many rap songs not quote suitable for tripping but many can be enjoyed. Listening to ODB from Wu fucked me up on mushrooms I was lovin it tho just grooving. But IMO you can't go wrong with Jimmi Hendrix!!!
i'd love to trip outdoors, maybe when my schedule's free in the summer. i'm into heavier music, and i particularly enjoyed mastodon. pink floyds good too. and if you're into ethereal post-rock kinda shit check out Sigur Ros, it's an icelandic band
