Can a new hippie get some help?

Can the experienced hippies show a new brother the light? Do you have to be a druggy to be a Hippie? Do you have to wear "typical" hippie clothes? Just will the experienced hippies tell a young brother the Do's and Don't of it? I look up to the true hippies like MLK JR. and Jesus Christ, and Ghandi, John Lennon, etc. So can y'all help a brother?

 

no i don,t think drug use is a must. and no you don,t have to wear hippy clothes. it,s more of a state of mind, and living to help and love one another.

 

why even bother with the label of "Hippie"

a piece of advice is often given generally, which is "be yourself". I think this is good advice, and the reason it is good advice is not because being yourself will make everyone like you, but that you will live in a way that makes you happiest, and the people who like you will really like you

Hey there! I like the "just be yourself" line when it comes to this sort of thing as well. Why try to be something you aren't, right? I'm still new to this, but that's the motto I'm trying to fully develop. I'm tired of pretending to be someone else to be accepted by others, it just means that EVERY time I see those people, I have to be an actor and that is more work than it is worth, really. I want to relax and be with people that accept me in my relaxed state, instead of my acting or basically "working" state.

 

Just be yourself man.
There is no clothing or image that can get you there.
Just be who you ever and if this is who you are that's who you are.
Find the inner peace in your life.
