I had to do a paper for a class on this book.. we drew straws and we were supposed to read a series and I got stuck with the Twilight straw.. I thought FML... We had to analyze the book and apply it and all this shit... but this is what I got- the book tries to mirror what a mormon might possibly see mainstream america as? Edward: vampire ADDICTED to blood ( real life Edward addicted to drugs) Jacob: werewolf that has crazy mood swings ( real life domestic violence) Bella: silly young girl boy crazy confused depressed etc etc.. I just pulled the situations out differently and torked the book to make it bearable.. I surprised myself... didnt love it but didnt despise it
it never caught my interest. i was going to read it at one point, but i saw the effect it had on our society and i decided no. i will not give in to something that ruins the supernatural for everyone. it's pretty sad how much people are worked up about something that fictional. and the whole "team edward" "team jacob" thing is pretty stupid. i mean, if you read the book, then there's no point in teams. she has a fixed destination. yep. don't give in to the twilight zombies. eace:
