Hey sorry if this isn't where i can post my pic, im so excited finally got dreads using backcomb, did alot myself and had little help from sis and mum. Loving them already never muched liked my striaght flat hair. Only using natural products to wash, no wax. i hope pic shows up i dont really no how to do it... This is day 1.
Sorry i dont no how to add pic but it is on my page now. Do you like the before or after? haha think i wont do much to maintain them, to lazy and would suck.. Is it best to sleep with a silky headscarf ?
No, They Say Pure Wool Speeds Up The Locking Process, And To Wear A Beanie To Bed, But I Found It Fell Off After A Few Tosses And Turns, And Was Bloody Useless.... So 2 Years And 9 Months Ago, I Hit On The Idea Of Slipping An Old Pure Wool Sweater Over My Pillow, And It Works Great...:2thumbsup:. Do You Have Any Sheep In New Zealand, Or Do You Import All Your Wool From Horsetralia....?? Cheers Glen.
Hmm is the sheep thing a joke? We have more sheep then ppl. I dont use wool products, i heard to sleep on silk pillow slip etc so no fluff go into dreads and get stuck?.. I stil havnt washed mine been a week and scared when i have to cause once i used baking soda and water and still had bits of white in hair..
bloody cheeky aussie! as for sleeping normal cotton pillows are fine satin or silk pillows makes allows for more movement allegedly flannelette pillows / sheet = fluuf in your hair but is usually noticable and relatively easy to remove just sleeping with all the tossing and turning creats enough movement to help the dreading process hope thats helpfull Mark.
Aloha, Firstly to uplaod a pic, you need to put it up on a hosting site first like photobucket or imageshack, then link it in here, you cant direct link to your computer. Welcome to your new life as a dready, stop being worried and learn to chill otherwise dreads are not gonna be fun for you. wash your hair, it will be fine, sleep on whatever type of pillow you want and you will definitely get fluff in your hair, along with leaves twigs and other random bits of nature. It's part of dreads, you learn to love it like all other parts or you will end up brushing. Enjoy them, have fun with them and love them because there part of who you are now
