1. F#@! it! The Ultimate Spirtual Way. It's pretty cute...not too many new ideas if you're familiar with the Tao Te Ching, but a fun read that supports the general collapse of today's capitalitic, christian western mentality. 2. A New Earth. I fought against it...and passed on "The Power of Now", but I can't deny this one. Easy to read and enlightening.
the power of now... yeah mixed feelings about it, but i did like it. thanks ill check them both out, sounds like some more stuff id enjoy

The Red Pony by Steinbeck. Slowly plowing through all of his stuff. It's great. He's written quite a lot.
Veebie, Steinbeck is one of my favorites. About 100 yrs ago (lol) when I first read "Grapes of Wrath", I knew I would read everything he wrote. For his day, not only was he gutsy to write what he did, but quite perceptive in an age that did not encourage true and clear thinking. (jmo, of course) Right now I'm reading an oldish jewel I came across (aren't thrift stores great?)... Colony by Anne Rivers Siddons
I started out with "The Pearl", and been hooked ever since! His storylines are just so simple, tangible, easy. But before you know it you're in their clutches of intricate meaning and sat there, questioning life itself. Thrift stores are great for gem finds! They're magical places, sure thing. Also local dog and kitty kennels run book charities pretty often in my town. I try to filter my collection down to them every now and again :]
