We had a local news story this week about a guy who has a pair of nesting hawks in a tree in his front yard. It attacked him and now he is wearing a helmet when he goes out to mow the lawn. My Dad has had a couple cardinals that have jumped at his sliding door windows (over and over again). We think it is when they are looking for a mate. The bird sees his reflection of a cardinal in the window and he is trying to scare it away.
I've investigated and there's not a nest of any kind within 60 feet of where I was parked. And my car hadn't ran for hours prior to the incident, I sneaked out to my car for a quick toke. I'm goin with a crazy bird. Or maybe the bird is completely against the use of Cannabis, I don't know. Either way I'm still rattled by what had happened. I've been using these bird identifiers online and it's driving me crazy not being able to find it. The magpie someone suggested has the closest resemblance, but still different.
I've been attacked by vicious birds during mating season in Australia. One of them came close enough to basically rake through my hair once, really glad I had short hair and not dreads then, I can only imagine what a nightmare if it had gotten stuck in such a fury! I've also been attacked by seagulls, they are fucking evil, attacking with both beak and anus!
If a bird appears/gets inside a person's house, it has been an omen of old that death has just come or is right around the corner. I don't know about a car. That is both a little creepy and funny, especially since you were taking a toke. Perhaps he isn't against a toke - but warning you not to do it there again. :mickey:
The bird could have been suffering from H5N1 or some other avian virus and became disoriented and angry hotwater
