I was at the football last night to watch Brisbane play Beijing. A lot of Chinese students were there, super excited and happy to see a Chinese team playing Australia. Lots of chants and songs in Chinese to cheer on their team. But the behaviour of the Australian supporters was just disgusting, drunken, obnoxious and downright racist. I was SO ashamed to live here (I'm not Australian, either). Here are some of the comments I heard being yelled at the Chinese supporters and the Chinese players 'Shut up and speak English!' 'Open your eyes, Asians!' 'Your father works in a sweatshop' (that one made me want to hurt them). 'Fuck off, Asian faggots!' They then tried the 'Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie Oi Oi Oi' chant and also tried the Australian national anthem but were too drunk and retarded to remember the words to their own anthem. When I finally turned around to to tell them to shut the fuck up, they told me when I got my face fixed we could talk about it. I told them when they got their cocks out of their mums mouths then we could talk about it. The best bit was when they didn't understand what the Chinese were yelling back at them and I got to translate. But what is wrong with some people? The Chinese were just there to support their team and have a good time. I couldn't believe the disgusting behaviour of the Australian bogans. Why are some people so racist and gross?

How long have you been in Australia? I found them to be one of the most bigoted and prejudiced people I have ever come across and your post doesn't surprise me in the slightest. I met some people there who were highly intelligent and enlightened in many ways, but were still extremely bigoted against homosexuals ("faggots") and foreigners, especially Asians. I luckily managed to turn my friend around to be more accepting after hanging out for a year, but most Aussies I met would never be accepting. These weren't even bogans, these people lived on the Gold Coast which has a lot of internationals, Asians especially.
Where abouts are you? Brisbane? I'm in Perth and most of the homophobic and racist people I know are idiots from highschool.. Everyone else is pretty cool. Saying that, I do hang out with a lot of people from other countries, but my Aussie friends aren't racist either. Sorry for your experience some people ruin it for everybody.

This is true, unfortunately. The worst thing is they deny it exists, even the ones who aren't overtly racists. And when it happens it's just "those bogans" who "don't represent the majority".
I wish I would have come up with that one as these Vietnamese waitresses were being a bitch to me for invading their buffet. Asians can be real cunts as well.
