I noticed that I'm way more flexible and focused when I'm doing yoga on grass? Why is that?

because you're connecting with our Mother Earth. Indoors, on coloured plastic mats, unnaturally painted walls and fixtures, artificial light .. that all has a detrimental effect. Grass and the earth are natural and feed your soul.

What Cult said... You are in direct connection with mother earth, the energy of the planet can move up through the blades of the grass and into you... the circuit is created.

Great! From now on I'm doing yoga outside. I already do a lot of earthing so this will be a plus.

It may have something to do with your "relaxed" state of mind AND that you are soooooooooooo relaxed and mellow that it just works better for you.

    Go with it and enjoy.

Has little to do with weed specifically and more to do with whatever allows you to allow yourself to be flexible. Many people want to create reasons for allowing themselves to smoke and imbibe in various drugs but if one were able to accomplish the same things without anything extraneous to ones body/mind then that would be most ideal. That said, of the substances I think weed's the best. There's little denying that pot is an empathogenic substance and it makes one more forgiving on oneself and others. That same thing can be had through a true silent meditation regime. But few actually have such a regime. If they did they wouldn't be such assholes. If we taught people to meditate - as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi tried to do in his schools, then people everywhere would be kinder and there would be less crime, poverty, and mental and physical abuse.

Pot is good, but it's not better than the inner flexibility gained through real, substanceless, yoga (and when I say yoga I mean meditation which is mental yoga (manas-karma-jnana-raja), as much as physical (hatha) yoga.

I do feel it's a shame that so many uptight people have not smoked pot. Making love when high is the first wonder of the world.

i'm confused, is this post about doing yoga on the grass outside or doing it after smoking pot?

Because you are directly connected to mother nature, of course! Your roots can flow freely down into her core, without any barriers.

Anything that is transient cannot be real i.e. I am born, I am living, I am dyeing…born, living and dying are transient the “I am” is constant, the pleasurable effects of spliff is transient.

Haha! I ALSO thought "on grass" meant "while stoned." By the way, "while stoned" is my absolute favorite way to practice yoga. I believe it produces real benefits, but that may just be me.
