I know a few of you are on them so I'd rather ask you all rather than just googling and trying to filter out a bunch of noise.

I am very close to making the decision to visit a Sub doctor as I have been on oxycodone for a few months now and would like to get off.

A few things I would like to know:

How does it feel (i.e euphoria) in comparison to oxycodone like Percs, Roxis, hydros, etc?

What would be an equivalent dose of subs to say, 30mg oxycodone?

I believe my insurance covers suboxone but in case it doesn't, how expensive is it compared to 10/325 Percocet?

What are the main differences in Suboxone and Subutex and which should I aim to get from the doctor?

Anything else you feel is relevant please share. I've heard many good things - not just in fighting off WDs - but also in actually achieving a great euphoric experience so it interests me on many levels.

Euphoria wise, it is similar to Oxycodone in my experience...energetic, sharp euphoria, not itchy. But you must immediately take steps to prevent a tolerance build up or you will fall off the wagon because it won't give you a buzz anymore. I suggest Agmatine.

30 mg of Oxycodone is equivalent to around 2.5 mg of Suboxone. However, Suboxone has a ceiling dose at which taking more will not get you higher. This dose is around 6 mg and is equivalent, IMO, to around 75 mg of Oxycodone or 150-180 mg of oral Morphine.

The "catch" with Subs is they are expensive as doctors charge a lot because so many bums abuse the system, they need to have some liability unfortunately. But that is just something you learn to accept. Realize that, while expensive, it may be saving your life...plus it gives a decent high even years after starting (and keeping the same dose) if you use a tolerance-buster like Agmatine (I don't make Agmatime for a living...I just think more opioid users need to be aware of it because it is nearly miraculous...it is just an amino acid derivative that is completely legal and devoid of any psychoactive properties on its own).

So that is my quick summary of Suboxone.

Thank you etkearne - much appreciated.

A few other questions if you don't mind:

After going to a doctor for Subs will it be difficult for me in my lifetime to ever get scripted for another opiate?

You say the ceiling dose is ~6mg - Is this for a one time dose or over a 24 hour period?

If and when I do go on Bupe I will absolutely heed your advice and try the Agmatine. Should I just directly ask the doctor for Subutex over the Suboxone?

If I remember correctly a doctor must be licensed(?) to prescribe Suboxone?. Will I have a problem asking for something like Aderrall or even Vyvanse from the same guy or do you feel he will he find this suspicious?

Were you scripted both Aderrall/Vyvanse and Subxone by the same doctor and if so did you specifically ask for the Adderall/Vyvanse?

Sorry for the onslaught of questions. You just seem to be precisely the person that can help.

Also, how long do you plan on taking Bupe, etkearne? Next few months? Years? Rest of life?

And how long after having taken Bupe will it be ok to go back on oxycodone, for instance, if I so choose?

I'll be honest with you, it is because of you that I have chosen to go on this drug. You remind me very much of myself. From the little reading I have done I see we have suffered from many of the same ailments. And if I can enjoy even a fraction of what you enjoy by taking Suboxone and Vyvanse/Aderrall then I will be a very happy guy.

Could Agmatine be found in a drug store or health food store? And is it expensive?

Hi, everyone. Sorry to delay my post but I have been quite busy the first part of this work-week.

Here are some answers for Vikey:
And as for Agmatine, I have never seen it in GNC or Vitamin World, but it is easy to find on the internet. It is sort of expensive, but no more than any other amino-acid type supplement is. A small price to keep one's tolerance down.
