I have been on suboxone for 6 months, had a doctor a year or so ago prescribe subutex but only saw him for about 1 month because of transportation issues. Was clean for a while, got on suboxone six months ago and have been trying to get subutex instead. I aask every doctor and they wont prescribe it because its widely abused. Well yesterday just got a new doctor and i stated the orange taste made me sick, and the flavor and the dyes are carcinogenic plus the naloxone is not a chemical I want in my body. These facts convinced the doc and now Im prescribed subutex . I was on 12mg suboxone a day now im on 8mg subutex. Take 4 twice a day. And WOW it is SO much better. I am on 2mg (IV) and I am nodding. I NEVER get any kind of high from suboxone but the tex feels SO much cleaner and is way stronger. Fuck suboxone its garbage, straight up bupe is where its at.
never got to try subtex, i finally got on suboxone the first day i got high as hell be now it,s just what i do it keeps me happy though, i don,t miss herion.
I love it, tiny little 2mg bupe pills. Barely any filler, dissolves like 100 times faster than suboxone, and leaves little to no residue. Clean feeling all the way
How realistic is it to get prescribed Subutex over Suboxone though? I am probably going to be seeing a sub doctor sometime next week and would ofc prefer the 'Tex. Will most doctors basically tell you to get lost if you ask for the subutex? Is there any really good reason for a Dr. to give 'Tex over Suboxone other than 'suboxone has a really crappy orange flavor?'
I know our resident pharmacologist really enjoys Suboxone (as well as Addy/Vyvanse, which, coincidentally is precisely what i'm looking to get on) but is that primarily because he was never really a hard user like some of you? In other words, would someone who had a bad Perc habit for 6 months get more out of the Suboxone as opposed to someone who was bangin H for the last 4 years?
i was doing 5-6 bags of herion a day for 4 months everyday, before that vics, percs, oxy, for at least 4 years took 3/4 of a suboxone film strip and got so high i puked noded out WOW! i could,nt believe it, but today i took 10mgs and barely fell it. but a perc habit hell when ya eat one of them it,ll be like herion the first time. and yeah if you ask for subutex they will kindly ask you to leave, while you lose your vist fee, mabye after a few months of suboxone.
Why is Subutex even on the market in that case? There must be some reason for it. The doctor works for us and as long as we are paying (and even if we weren't) we have every right to choose what we put into our body. I realise this is a pretty harsh stance to take but fuck that we already give doctors too much power over us. I'm gonna do some reading/research for some info on Subutex and why some are scripted it over Suboxone.
Oh, one more thing. From what I've heard, the WDs from Bupe can be long-lasting and hellish. I don't know much about the drug (and I just had this thought) but why are we substituting one drug (say, oxycodone or Hydromorphone) with a much shorter duration of WDs for another drug that will give you much longer WDs? Do some people simply decide to spend the rest of their lives on the Bupe? I'd be alright with that, btw, I'm just curious.
yes bupe, withdrawls are longer, and worse from what i rember years ago. why i substituted 2 main reasons i,m leagel now, could,nt afford other drugs anymore, and were tired of the up down from herion. and i could stay on it (bupe)fovever if the doc lets me. and they quit makin subtex, they do still make a genric though i think?
