I think it's a good idea if your heart craves it. Research some communities and look into it, see if it feels right for you right now. I definitely think it would be an exciting experience.
I tried to research them but I cant find a good one online, I'm a hippie and I'm positive it's the life style for me.

IC is a great resource, but a lot of what you'll find on there will either be 'gated communities' or communes that will want to charge you a ridiculous amount of money to visit them and see if they like you. Most of the real hippies you won't find anywhere on the web, you just have to get out and start traveling.
This used to be my dream when i was younger. Go for it! Honestly their probably isn't a better environment to live in as ah human being in today's industrial society.
But when your whole family abandons you its nice to have friends like hippies that love you for you, so if I'm surrounded by my own kind it'll be better and I even might find a hippie gf
This is true, alot of the communities on IC have websights that give you the impression their trying to sell you something. It is kind of shitty if you have no cash and are looking for a place to work for your stay.
Totally agree. or they are "forming".... Exactly ! looking for a place myself, would be nice to find a place for the summer or even longer. I may just end up camping at the river ... ~peace
