Back in the 80's I spent an extended holiday in San Francisco. Most of the time was spent in clubs in the Filmore District. I just happened to hear one of the songs that I heard for the first time there. Unfortunately I couldn't find the blues version on You Tube, so you are going to get a Country and Western version.
