I've been having some pretty weird dreams lately, for the past year or so, but they've become way more common now than they were before.

I have dreams about completely normal everyday-life situations, but then when i wake up i completely forget about them in general, but later on throughout the day, or maybe even the next few days for all i know, i suddenly remember the dream at some random point except i don't realize its a dream because i'm like "wait, i thought i actually did that?"

    For example...

This morning i woke up and went downstairs and was planning on making some coffee, so i go to open the cabinets to take the coffee stuff out, when all of a sudden i saw the can and thought to myself "didn't i make this already...?" then i'll think i actually did for a moment until i remember it must have been a dream

has anyone else had this happen?

Yes. It is sort of a deja vu feeling. Sometimes the actual event happens years after the dream.

I've had "Reality" dreams... Usually happens in the transition periods of going to sleep or waking up for me... Or if I try to catch a nap. (During which I rarely actually sleep) The "nap" ones can get really confusing because I'm feeding the dog, thinking "Wait! I already fed you didn't I?"

The dog is like.... "No.. Never" Even if I had. :p

Can't count the number of times I have asked Grace if I fed her already! She always gives me this "I'm starving!" face.

Yeah totally man, deja vu is totally when you dream of the future and don't remember the dream. It's so weird how we can dream of the future and then bE able to change it. Thus why I don't believe in fate

A few dreams are dreams of the future that come true. These dreams of the future don't always involve tragedies or celebrities. In fact, I'm convinced that most really scary and tragic dreams are not prophecies; they're much more often our subconscious minds dealing with all sorts of other stress.

Most of us do a lot of the same stuff every day or close to it. We feed the dog, make coffee, go to work, etc. Sometimes we talk about things we do over and over without giving them much thought and say we could do these things in our sleep. I think sometimes we really do those things in our sleep.

yes i've had that happen so many times i don't really think its any kind of big deal like some people make out of it. about all its good for is remembering "oh yah, i dreamed i was here sometime". the reason its not very useful of course, is you can never now whether what you dreamed is going to happen in days, months or years, or even which dreams are and which are not, things that will happen. what this could mean is simply that the parallel universe dreams take place in is not localized in time in sync with the one we're awake in.
