Got a job working at burgah king, gonna operate some thing called the cash register... sounds pretty extreme but i should get the hang of it im hoping. I had to call back twice after my interview to find out, also was the easiest simplest interview i ever had, she literally just asked if i could work til 11, and told me i cant work full hours til i learn the ropes a bit more. That was the whole thing less than 5 min. Oh she also asked me if i knew how to smile at customers. Was a tricky question but i said yes. I guess i did good then thankfully, i was worried about that last question. Soo its been 7 bullshit monthz mj free, you guys here prolly like how in fucks name dacre well yea its been suckin de balls neways my plan is to make enough money to get out of this sober living bs and get an apartment. I sneak off and drink beer sometimes to keep me sane but o how i miss my sweett molers. So sick of plain cigs . Hope i get some free food tomorrow. Anyone else work or worked at bk? How was it? Peasee /youall
whoa BADD! give the kid a break. Dacre you're gonna fuck up. It's natural at your age. Have you ever worked before this? Damn. Well I'm just saying damn because I already know the answer. You've got a long road kiddo. Stick with it... and remember to smile.
Yeah i could use a dose of that independence that would be dope. arent you high and mighty bbad you too good for fast food well i dont giva fuck i applied like everywhere in this town it was 1 of the two interviews i got im takin whati can get i can still keep my options open too get more shit on my resume mo money mo independence isall gravey yes i worked at a bbq for two years. Worked a cash register once and it was confusing from what i remember. I was hoping i could help make the burgers but no. O well. And thanks gna fuck up makes me way confident now.!
At least i did not apply to the mcdonalds. Told myself i was too cool for that. God i hate food there too. If i worked there id live off the fries and mcflurries. Thats all i ever get there.
From What Iv'e Read About Unemployment In The US, I Would Say Any Honest Job Is A Good Job.... I Wish You All The Best Mate, Hope It All Works Out For You...:2thumbsup: Cheers Glen.
i worked at McDonald's for about a year in high school, it was pretty good. might have had something to do with me becoming vegetarian a couple of years later though.
Congratulations on your new job, everyone has to start somewhere. Just stick to it and save your cash, at the same time keep an eye out for better opportunities and work your way to your own place.
Ya, i may be coming in a little late here but congrats on the new job. I started a new job after being out of work for about 9 months. I am going to school and WAS doing a couple little side hustles on the side to get some money for smoking nug and other endeavors. Been making pretty sweet money, going from nothing to 200 or more a week, so i cant complain.
I'm in the same boat with BBAD. never worked fast food.. never will.. never even gave it a thought.. but someone's got to do it... I wish I was self employed... but i really don't have that kind of seed money PS: don't get caught doing anything stupid to get you fired.. it is corporate and could be one nasty stain on your work record
Hang in there and look at it this way,you got a/c in the hot weather and heat when its cold, cant tell you how many days i froze my ass off or how many times i almost fell out working in the heat, its telling on me now though.
Hey man you had the balls enough to know that you have to work to get $ no matter what ya need to do!! Just think after you get that pay there will be a little pride in it as well, a job is a job at the end of the day. Good luck with it!
Hey - you did good. Even in this little hole-in-the-wall town I live in, you have to go on-line to apply for ANY fast-food...and despite having years and years of restaurant experience...my application has been consistently rejected when I've applied on-line for a fast-food job. So, you just do your job and know that you are making money and you won't have to worry about getting pulled for a random DT...especially if you just show up and do your job. I'd love to have a part-time mind numbing job where I could fake-smile at ppl and just have to deal with them for a few moments at a time. Like somebody said above - just don't do something stupid (like steal or mess with somebody's food) b/c most places have little cameras to watch the EMPLOYEES (NOT the customers!). You'll do fine. :2thumbsup:
