just found this place while looking for an old poster i had when i was younger.i am a oragonian born and raised,moved to northern nevada in the 80's.split my time left on this plain with my dogs,a whippet and an italian greyhound,my spouse of 32 years,assorted addopted kids that visit via online media because i don't like to talk,if i do speak at all it's probly to my dogs cause they hear me or to tell someone to f off who is bugging me.i like most all music but country western makes me angry,i stoped smoking cigarets 5 years ago when i got my whippet,i like a coors light and a shot of a great old bourbon once in a while.my login name is my citizens band radio handle from back in the day.peace
Welcome booby,hope you stick around,i am a newby also and everyone here seems really great,take care.Oh,and i love the way you speak of your dogs,we have a 15yr old husky,her name is Cupid and she is a great girl,we have had her since she was a baby.Everyone should have at least one dog.,it would really save alot of thier lives...
tks 4 the welcome everyone.nightowl i can speak at length about dogs my 2 are the one thing i am proud of,i have pulled death row dogs from the pound all my life at 50 i was told by my spouse i was getting to old to handle it well,so i found a breeder and got my whippet he is now 5 years old(and the reason i stoped smoking)the i.g. is a rescue of sorts he had been left at a kennel by owners who didnt want him any more he is a purbred also and 6 years old.
Booby that is really nice of you to have rescued dogs on death row, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking your time and saving them,it is alot of work.We have also helped to get some dogs rescued and placed in homes,and also have donated to pitbull rescues,i have seen alot of horrible things people do to some animals through neglect and abuse,it is really sad.But when someone like yourself comes along and gives them a second chance at life and saves them that really means alot,thank you again.
sure but i do it for the love of dogs,i have spent more happy times with dogs then people so they deserve more of my time.
