Psychedelic Bump XVIII

Anyone want to diagnose a cacti malady?

It's a peruvian torch, Tricocerius peruvianus, and is rooting. I decided I'd make a monster (it's a pet, not for eating) and of my approx 2.4ft section, buried about a foot.

I had to transplant it (someone else had done the initial planting and not buried much, and I had to transport it) and it did have some alright roots, and I assume had more since then, with how much is buried-it's been looking emaciated, so I've started watering, and it's getting the water for sure, swelled right up. BUT, it's had papery brown spots of dead outer cortex since I got my hands on it, but in the last week they're much worse, first they sort of look dead and sunburned (not been in full sun though, usually inside) and then like parchment.

The soil is some sort of organic miracle grow (chicken shit in a bag, I think) and it's mixed with about a third perlite, maybe more. Is it maybe being burnt or something? Which way should PH go, if this is the case? I don't have litmus paper, btw....

Halp, It's losing photosynthetic space fast..... And I've never gotten much help in the cacti forums.

*Edit* I think it's actually closer to half perlite, and I know that's still probably a horrible cactus soil..... I can also get pictures, if anyone thinks they could help.

 

browning sounds like an over watering problem. Cacti dont get extremely wet.
Id let the soil get dry and see how that fixes it. in the environment cacti may only receive an inch of rain.

an inch of rain in a single quart pot, is about 4 tablespoons of water.

 

Yes quality post, I think I have read this online manual before, when I was reintroducing myself to LSD after a hiatus for a few years.

It's refreshing for me to see this take on how to dose psychedelics as this is how I came into learning how to dose psychedelics and recently I've pretty much solely seen discussion to the more conservative Marlon Stolaroff and Shulgin approach to dosing psychedelics.

This also was posted just in time as I think I'm going to explore some LSA sometime soon here and it's good to see a relative dose range to other psychedelics.

 

I've heard that the cactus actually strives with less water as well. People tend to over water their cactus's but in general you want it pretty dry

It's in a massive pot, much bigger than I think it needs, but I hope on getting it massive-have watered a decent amount, but I also thought it can be pretty wet in it's native habitat.

Anyways, I'll dry the sucker out, and see what happens.

One other thing, anyone know if cacti can heal this sort of damage, on the side and away from an apical meristem? Or will it always be callused and just hold it back?

 

What little I know jive's with Orison's comment. Might be too much water. Also that soil might be too rich, cactus need nutrients like all other plants, but like water, it's better to be a bit too little, than too much.

Well tonight's trip is still on. I've decided that we will both take 1mg of 25i-NBOMe (unless I convince myself to dose more, but I probably wont). Mary Jane will be joining us as well. Probably gonna leave here in 90 minutes or so. Will let you guys know how it goes

 

15mg, it was amazing - short duration tho 4-6 hrs. Took it at 10pm was in bed by 3 am, and no afterglow the next day. Reminded me a lot of 4-aco-dmt far as the head space, the visuals were clam and smooth - nothing too intense.

I'm definitely gonna do 4-ho-met again, probably at a much higher dose - 30mg to 40mg.

 

Bump for finally putting payment through for 25i today. To super psych have you done it before, is 1mg your sweet spot? I've only done it once, but when I get to try again it'll be at 3mg

 

Is there a 4aco more stunningly visual then dmt?

 

I have done it before but only once by itself at 1.5mg. It only got me to a ++, so I think I have sub par quality 25i since I've read of people tripping pretty hard off of less than 1mg. When I try it again by myself it will probably be about 2mg. The reason I'm only doing 1mg because it's my friends first time and she doesn't want it to be too intense and I want to be on the same level as she is or lower.

how long did it take though?

i agree about the stupid spelling. so i must tell you...that's weaknesses. apostrophes are only use for possessives and contractions, never to make something plural

 

I only have seedling cacti, so im not an expert on them. I give them a few Soda cap fulls of water. just enough to soak the base around them. a heavy mist every couple of days. I do know the skin of the cacti may take a long time to recover..

Sweet morphine. Heavy doses, medical bumps. Crikey, not even intoxicating. Just increases the lucidity that comes from reducing a level of pain that is mind altering.

My detox is over - too bad I was looking forward to bragging rights on three years . . . and I'm out of the hospital against medical advice. I won't gross you out, but it's grim. Know that malignancy has been ruled out but I'm in trouble and see a lot of pain meds in my future.

The only 4aco I've done is 4-aco-dmt, they are primarily used different ROA's so it's sort of not an even comparison but Oral 4-aco-DMT is nowhere near as visually stunning as Smoked/Vaped DMT.
