Well idk about in TX, but the occupiers on wall street were actually pretty cool, and I like their ideas on ending the drug war and getting business out of politics.

Yes, I agree with alot that's being said by them...but there are a few things I've heard that concern me. You will find that in every group. I think there are those who have great intentions that are not informed on all the facts.

That's true, but if Ron Paul doesn't win this, I'll go nearly anyplace else to continue a real political reform. (not communism or socialism.) But this military-industrial complex is not where I'd want to raise my future children.

Dude I really don't like the idea of this! Notice how Washington DC has already signed off on it.

That empty 'threat' (of leaving the country - oh noez! don't leave comrade!) has been used by so many in the past

I feel like most of Ron Paul's support comes from hiiighly idealized speculation. Nobody REALLY know how to run a government - and I would venture to guess as soon as Ron Paul got into office (hypothetically - I doubt it will ever happen) things would be much much much different than what he is preaching now.

Well whatever is good for you, broheim.

My point is that Ron Paul looks good on paper (kind of - not really) but in practice, would be forced to be very different.

Also my observation has been that a lot of Ron Paul supporters are paranoid conspiracy theorists...and I steer clear of those people. I'll out-conspire you and say that Ron Paul is actually a puppet figure for the NWO to trick us into thinking we are changing back to American roots - but wait! Our American roots were built on the idea to create foundation for global dictatorship! SO RON PAUL IS ACTUALLY A REPTILIAN!!!! OMFG!!! vote for Mitt Romney! Reptilians can't stand Mormons!!

Why don't you like conspiracy theorists? It seems like you'd get along with them perfectly. (At least the ones who believe the government is...reptiles?) Actually I don't think there's anything wrong with keeping an eye on our government. There are certain things that aren't conspiracies, but open fact and people still don't pay attention.

Nooo! Not ABC! lmao. Purp-you are hilarious! I definitely wear a tinfoil hat. Nobody thinks Ron Paul is going to be the change. The American people have to be the change. Period. The fact is, they are going to win if we all stay divided and can't agree on anything! Ron Paul is a messenger. He is helping to wake people up to the slow burn that we are in. No president has any real power. Thank god or we would have a dictatorship. Again I say. WE pay their paychecks and we can fire them whenever we want to. You may not agree with all the views of your neighbor, but if you are both pissed and stand together you will get further...

yeah that's the consistent thing i see - people want someone ELSE to change their lives for them. instead of doing without - the mindset of WANT is absurdly rampant.

the importance of money as a figment of value is only that - a figment. if we, as people, could circumvent the necessity of 'money' for things we enjoy and food (i'm afraid electric companies won't barter for energy) we could be on our way to sustaining ourselves much more effectively. in time...

Very well said. Who says who's skill is worth more? How can any skill be worth more than any other skill? Hmmm. But that is a whole nother can o worms :D. How can electricity be worth more than food? Makes no sense.... Definitely with you on that!

I grow/raise food. Still worth more than any monetary unit in my eyes. And let them come and take it. But silver is smart..

i'm not worried about maintaining a higher monetary position than others if/when the economy collapses - there will be more important things, like knowing how to be productive and not thinking everyone is out to get your buillions

Yeah but listen to this, in the event of the economy collapsing Silver would be expected to raise to 145$ per ounce the first day alone. I only pay about 40$ per ounce right now. Gold would be up around 4000$ per ounce in the first day (that's like 4 times the amount it's going for)
