Star wars the old republic?

Can some one explain this game to me as well as star wars itself I've seen some of the films but am always so confused

 

I don't know anything about the video game but I know lots about the movies, what do you want to know?

Star wars: the old republic stuff is set 4000 years before the time where the movies take place You won't see any characters from the movies in those settings.

 

sort of like how the OP was set 4000 years before the rest of the thread..

 

I wannna know everything I try watching the movies but like it's too hard for me to follow

 

Well do you have a more specific question? Because that is sort of broad. Which of the movies have you seen? Maybe I can answer questions you have about them.
