When I was a kid, I had a reoccurring dream that I woke up in my bedroom to find the house was on fire... so I go to the window looking for an escape route and there are a ton of bears in the front yard, preventing me from getting out. Then I woke up. I had this dream a lot as a kid. Anyone care to interpret what this dream meant?
It could well mean you were one frightened kid. Sometimes dreams are a dress rehearsal for things we face in life, and we're stronger or more confident from facing those fears successfully in our sleep. In this case, it could have been either a house fire or bears.
yea as a kid a had a dream the reoccurred several times between 5-16 or so. I was being chased through a building of endless hallways. doors on each side of the wallway, each hallway being separated with a turn and a set of open doors. Then eventually I hit a set of closed doors, and there's no where to go, i turn around then wake up. Fuck, i can remember it so vividly. I haven't had it in 12 or so years now but its crazy that the same exact dream reoccurred several times
When you have a recurring dream, pay special attention to it. It means your subconscious is trying very hard to get your attention.
Bears can link generally to grumpiness and obstructive emotions. Fire is a symbol of destruction and can link to friendships or situations in our life which have been destroyed. I'd say find away from the bears (obstructiveness) and let the fire destroy those negative traits. Be more aware of your thoughts and how they affect your emotions.
I dreamed that I was flying through the air as a child and then when I was about twenty I almost drowned and this was similar feeling to my flying dream. I know it doesn't make sense , but I do not want to drown or be fat. I am already overweight. please pray that I lose the extra weight. Praise God for all blessings to my body. from Nanette T.
Let us Pray... Oh lord, please help this woman, help her get the strength to lift some rocks and lose the extra weight. Praise God for all blessings to her body, she was created in your image. Jehovah take my advice and start working out! :2thumbsup:
I like your interpretation of the bears. They may have a teddy-bear cuteness to them as well. Fire also symbolizes uncontrollable emotion, both passion and rage. If you (OP) were overly protected as a child and sometimes found yourself in situations where you reacted strongly because of too little emotional experience, it would make sense to me.
Of course, fire represents destruction. Was your home life turbulent @ that time of your life? Or were you maybe angry @ your family or homelife? These are things to take into consideration. And having your escape route blocked by a potentially dangerous animal (can represent the unknown) could signify that as children, we really are helpless and when bad things happened and we just wanted to run away, we couldn't because of our helpless state. This is just my thoughts on it of course... but its a very interesting dream. I think you would need to consider what was going on in your life @ the time to get a better understanding of it.
