You need to download the bitcoin software, which contains your wallet. you can buy bitcoins, with real money or you can do things online such as fill out surveys for bitcoins, or you could also use sites like bitcoin plus, where your generating bitcoins constantly, at slow rates though. its like the lottery, when you strike a payout, you get 50 bitcoins (which is a lot). One of the reasons i brought it up here, is because every time someone gets referred and registers through your link, you, and the newly registered get an extra 20 percent off of what each other makes, so were not losing any, only gaining. users have started working together to rack up bitcoins, and split them equally, and working together is key to success.

Jack, you didnt answer my question, i know about everything youre saying but answer me this. do you farm your own bitcoins and what type of hardware do you use and how many do you produce say in a week. im curious to how many i could make with a pentium m and 2gigs of ram and a built in virtually non-existent video card

No i dont farm my own. I use Tor, it keeps your identity anonymous. We are pretty much on the same page as to using bitcoins.

well it is an interesting concept and is truly a global currency, however id think youd have more of an advantage mining on your own. the process of mining uses LOTS of system resources, video card, processor and ram, the better the machine the more and faster you will process blocks to obtain bit coins, if you signed up under someone theyll most likely be using you to collect more profits in a pyramid scheme type way. i think its worth it? even though youre using electricity and time to make them... those that actually make it worthwhile have people running the software under them or are it guys that install it on computers where they work to mine, or have some pretty intense hardware... but hey its a way to make something give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Using bitcoins in no way requires mining bitcoins; there are numerous collaborative mining sites out there if you want to leave your computer on all the time trying to solve the next block. FWIW, Bitcoins can be used for things besides shopping on SR!

Yeah, but see one of my friends said, that even if you built, a super beast mining rig, the cost of electricity would be more than the bit-coins produced. I didnt even look into that website but if my friend was correct, outsourcing it would be the only way it would be possible to make any money mining.

Uhmm, you do realize that Bitcoins are VIRTUAL and not REAL, don't you?

Your not "making" anything with your computer resources.
If your hardware is good enough to post here, then it is good enough to fill out surveys and shit. Filling out surveys and similar crap is how you "earn" Bitcoins.
    Nothings free.

So you need to figure out how much time it takes to complete a survey or whatever, then how many coins did you earn, or get "paid" for your time.

Bet ya it works out to being a couple cents an hour or so.

At least that is how the site linked in the OP does it.

uh, I know what Im talking about kind sir. In a way you do make bitcoins using resources. You obviously should not be posting on the matter.

You might pay a bit more, but I am impressed by the idea and technology. In this modern age governments are working harder and harder to take way any privacy you have especially online. Anything that hinders that is fine by me.

Step up bros, if you don't know how to use a computer don't even try to use SR.

Get a super computer with a legit graphics card and join a pool. The days of single mining is over, better be ready to spend some cash but the mining result won't be too impressive.

The real cash is in botnets and stealing wallets. Selling back the BC, 1BC - 5USD

The future is here, better become a cyber punk now.
