I was planning on getting my medical card for medicinal cannabis soon. I currently live in Michigan but will be moving to California in August to go to college. My question is whether I should get my card here or just wait till I'm out in cali. I know cards don't transfer states but since I'll be renting a dorm in California I won't technically be a resident of California. Any help is appreciated! Happy 4/20 to everyone as well.

You need to see if CA honors out of state cards. If you're renting a dorm, you are a resident though.

I bet after you live in CA for 6 months, maybe a year you will be considered a resident. That is how it works in many states.

Michigan is a bit stricter with the cards I think. I know in CA it is extremely easy to get one.
