help! my internet has no code!!

    hi everyone. i dont know shat about computers. with that being said....lol...when i connect to my internet no box comes up to type in the internet code. its open for everyone to use. can someone help??

    Get a command line and see if you can ping your default gateway.
    And yes change the password on your router from default settings to a secret word that only you know. (but don't forget it or you won't get online either)

    type 192.168.1.1 in your browser and set up password to your router

    A username and password are being requested by http://192.168.1.1. The site says: "WRT54GL"

    thats what i got. i have none of those

    or check the manual and itll give you the default password.

    yup WRT54GL is the model of your linksys router, you can find that number underneath it.
    i have experience with linksys; for the login, leave the ID blank and enter admin as the password. closet one Tyrson ;p
