Perhaps if I rephrase my intro someone will freaking respond. Ya'll seem like a pubescent gaggle of psychoactive saddle tramps, whipper-snappers and bong blasters. I run the world's largest pot festival, in Seattle. I adore Goddess energy, faeries, pagan princesses, and warriors of love in this challenging and trying time of Bush Reich oppression.

I actually remember the sixties, although I was pretty young, and I saved a coupla brain cells so that I can actually share some of my experiences with you bean sprouts, as I am now an elder.

This is the time for Spirit Warriors to invoke the Living Light of Love, because the Mother Gaia Planet and all who creep, crawl, swim, root, fly and walk her are depending on us, the Templedragons who guard the gates of all that is living and sacred to walk our talk.

Hellooo bro faerie goddess here. I live on the west coast of Canada, mostly. The gulf islands. Seattles nice. You seem pretty cool but you gotta tone down that holier than thou thing ya got going. Lotsa people organize festies. Age is kinda meaningless if you ask me. When I was a baby I had ancient eyes that never cried. At two I often talked about my farm and I was able to use use chopsticks as soon as I picked them up. My mum figured I was a Vietnamese farmer last time round and learned to cook Vietnamese. I think most of us are ancient. Just because a persons old doesnt mean the know any more than anyone else, it just means they're old. My friends go all the way from 4 to sixtysumthin. Neway lovin you and welcome here! Oh yeah love that costume! It looks alot like my water fearie costume I donned for my birthday last year.

 

Howdee sistah. Holier than thou? Lmao. Chill little sister, I was just razzin ya'll. But in my defense, we throw the biggest in the world. I am nothing but a humble pilgrim trying my best to make it through life, but there is something to be said for being an elder, when there are so many young hearts and minds uncertain about which path to take in life. If ya read these boards, it seems a lot of very young folks want to know what it means to be a hippie. I don't think it is holier than thou to try to steer 'em in the right direction, which is of course simply peace and love.

Thanks for the note, and I would never presume to place myself above anyone else, but neither would I deny the few accomplishments I have made in my 46 years here. Facing Babylon repeatedly when there is a war against your culture can be slightly intimidating. Please respect those of us who have put our shit on the line for others, but then, ya'll Canadians would not know what it is like to live under the Bush regime.

Hempfest sounds cool. I should check it out sumtime. I do respect my elders and am spotted hugging ohming and smoking with them more often than people my own age. Bush is doing is a whole lotta terrible terrible things. Don't think for a second that it doesn't affect us Canadians, especially on the west coast where weed is the biggest industry. I'm a lil nervous actually as I'll be hitching down the west coast of the states come lat Jan or early Feb. I'm sure it'll be fine tho. I just gotta have faith. Sorry to get down on ya, us pisceans can be too sensitive for our own good at times. I got five planets in pisces so I'm even more weepy and defensive than most. You seem really cool. I wouldn't have responded if I didn't think you were.

wow you run the biggest pot festival in the world, respect that would be a hard time. I do believe all of us youngers should always respect our elders for many reasons in particular, you have wisedom which surpasses our comprehension, and to that i say respect.

 

Thank you for the respects, and it is a two way street. Respect must be earned, by action or by intent. And in turn it must be returned in kind.

I think she was right to accuse me of a little bit of holier than thouness, is that a word?, because anyone could come in here and claim a bunch of stuff and expect to be exalted on the royal hippie thrown. One of my biggest dislikes is how in the counter-culture, expecially by men, that some people have annointed themselves as some kind of superior being, to be worshipped via adulation, sexual favors, or just simple mind control, when in reality they were just what I call "guru scammers".

I just seek the common respect that an elder (I am just easing into that moniker, being 46) and a warrior deserves. Nothing more. And if I do not return that same respect to me fellow freaks tenfold then I deserve none of it, and it counteracts itself.

The hippie culture is about kindness...that's why we call it the kind bud...gentleness. Respect is a form of kindness, IMHO, a fundamental human birthright that we must incrementally earn as we go through the day to day challenges that tempt us to do otherwise than that which is respectful.

I am not only the Executive Director of an annual event that draws 175,000 each year, I am the emcee of the Mainstage as well. I speak my heart-song to tens of thousands of folks each year, and extoll the virtues of freedom and liberty from persecution and oppression.

It is that stand that I seek a modest offering of respect, and in turn I offer my humble obeisances and my sword of love in defense of us all.
