It's also called sexsomnia. I really don't see it as a problem except for if I have to work real eary in the morning because my sexsomnia comes on at around 2 am most of the time. Yeah, this is a kinda gift/curse scenario depending if your partner is okay and understands this medical condition. Other times, especially if you don't know you have this condition, and you are in the dating phase with a partner, this is the grey area of legal issues when say a girl accuses you of rape, but your defense is that you were asleep, or the rape did not occur (because you don't remember it). In these case it makes dating and sleeping over EXTREMELY tricky in my humble opinion. --- If you are to use the "I was asleep when I had sex with you" defense in a court of law when accused of rape in the USA, you're going to probably have to enter a sleep study to scientifically prove your brain is asleep and functions different to back up your claimed defense. Still even after that, a case of sleep sex can ruin a good relationship, or make it all depending on your partner. Again it's a gift or a curse.
