anxiety and cannabis

    hi i was one of those who hit volcano vaporizer bag all the time i have attention disorder and vaping indica was a good things for me instead of taking ritalin. But one night i was smoking alone some withe widow with jack her her and i began hallucination. since that time i am on anti psychotic and life is painfull. i started meditation to clear my mind and i want to get back on smoking when i will be mindfull. What you think about that should i get back to smoking? i really think all the time about smoking. My meditation is the 6R of budhisme anyone use this technique or know other technique?

    ya i need to smoke it up but this time i will stay with indica and i will avoid smoking too much and i will do something of my self

    Am I understanding correctly: you were put on an antipsychotic drug because you started hallucinating one time?

    ya it make no sense i was out of my mind all the time i almost got a mental ilness i started to learn that my self was just out of his mind and to not mix tought with my self so i started to get better but now im still dizzy on high antipsychotic meds... . Right now i start getting better because i started reading about dhrama meditation and i will cut those shity meds soon i might need also to take a break and clear my mind more without drugs. i dunno where my anxiety come from, but im tired of suffering so i try to not stay anxious most of the time, i make insane effort to get my mind clear i dont want to stay anxious all the time its hell.. but i really want to get high soon i hope i will get the control of my anxiety without meds. each day i get more confident im sure i will pass out this episode.

    i will also improve my sleep with yoga nidra relaxation i should kill my anxienty soon. Anyone overcome anxiety?

    Keep up with the meditation to clear your anxiety, maybe meditate a little before and while you smoke. I know i get really bad anxiety when smoking, but meditation can help. Also don't smoke as much maybe, especially at first. Although i admit its fun to get extremely baked then meditate

    should i meditate more for about 1 month or so before getting back to weed or should i quit my meds and get backed soon? i dunno i found that weed will help me sleeping but if i get anxiety on weed my trip will be bad has ass i still have some anxiety maybe i will get ride of it soon i hope because i got a MJ license. so i could smoke some good stuff i'll have a supplier for 3$g i really need to get ride of my anxiety to try some new medical stuff.
    what about you r u? still anxious? are you done with it

    I think you should go slow, so you give each step a chance to take effect. I suggest you start with increasing meditation and talk to your doctor about weaning you off the meds. The doctor may be against it, but just be firm and say you want to try it.

    Do you only get anxious when you smoke, or does it come and go, in general?

    With anxiety, you need as many outlets as possible to cope. Meditation and for some, smoking can help, but if your anxiety is really intense, you may need more. Do you do anything creative? What is the meditation you described? Have you tried any relaxation techniques like visualization/imagery, white noise, progressive muscle relaxation, etc?

    The attention problems are probably connected. Does your mind tend to race? If so, that perpetuates the anxiety and makes it feel worse.

    I also have anxiety... it comes and goes, and sometimes it comes on strong. I don't think it will ever, completely go away. I just do my best to control it.

    hi i do anxiety about all the time i try to run out of my mind. Since 2 month i started doing nothing i love doing guitar but i start thinking instead of learning im really stock with anxiety. i want to be as more artist because artist don't think they create there present. i am using 6R meditation of i really want to create some paint art i think about it because it could over come my anxiety by telling my self im good at something... and i will have better creativity this time i analyse my mind but he always trying to run out of me so i dont have really the control on it. its hard but something i gain confident sometime i gain hard anxiety. something i feel creative and i try technique to get back to the control. Right now im anxious maybe i should start planing things to stay more balanced. THC wasnt my friend but CBD was a great peace full stone for me now i dont have this anymore i more like running to get the control.. i plan on getting high cbd meds i better wait to get it and make something of my self instead of getting some random weed strain. What you advise me to do? right now i do nothing im fucking lazy man ! stuck into taught

    Well you said you were on anti-psychotic meds, right? Are there reasons other than anxiety that you take these? Because you shouldn't be on that for anxiety, you should have been given an anxiety medication like xanax.

    But, if you are having psychotic issues, i wouldn't stop taking the meds unless advised by your doctor. But the weed and meditation really has nothing to do with that. I would say continue meditating to help reduce your anxiety. Do you have anxiety all the time or only when you smoke? If you have it all the time, try getting rid of it before you smoke, that way when you smoke you'll be much less likely to get some sort of anxiety attack. But if you only get it while smoking, try smoking under better conditions. I find that when i smoke in risky places or unhappy situations i get extreme paranoia and anxiety, but if you smoke in a care-free place in a good mood, there's little to no anxiety.

    As for me, i still get mild anxiety when i smoke, but i have anxiety 24/7 even without weed. I have depersonalization and derealization because of anxiety, so weed tends to make it worse, nevertheless i still smoke daily. But i find it helps when i smoke alone, social situations makes the anxiety worse, and meditation also helps. I like to meditate just before i smoke, then continue once i finish smoking for a little bit, it helps clear the anxiety. Then you just sit back and enjoy the rest of your high anxiety free, for the most part.

    *EDIT* try listening to some calming music too and just relax. Anxiety is all a state of mind, so if you clear that state of mind and put yourself in a good state, only good can come.

    hi thank you for your answer i have quit smoking for a month i only smoke cigarets i take antipsycotic med but they are adictive and i want to cut them soon and start back to smoking by creating my self a none anxiety world having activity ready and having stuff to do to get rid of getting stone and getting paranoid. I hope i will be less anxious and i will be able to get back to smoking . moderation and creativity will be needed.

    hi everyone since today i feel better but i have a big lake of focus so i bet i will go back to smoking soon ! maybe i should restart smoking without abusing the shit. just 3-5 hit per day should be enought for clearing focus and getting better mind? what you think about that

    Can also be the skunk.. shit's too strong now and is more prone to bring out the negative psychological effects because it's all grown indoors with no actual sunlight, just halogen shit. The plant needs the sunlight though to create the cannabinoids that basically "neutralise" the negative shit that's caused in certain parts of the brain.
    So basically the THC levels have sky rocketed whilst the CBDs and other shit have decreased.. It doesn't make too much of a difference, but it's still a difference.

    I think... I'm pretty sure, google it I'm too baked :p

    But yeah, try find some shit that's been grown outdoors and see how you get on with that.. it won't be as strong but it'll still get ya high and possibly without your dodgey spin offs

    Look in the first place, an extremely potent sativa such as "white widow" and "jack herer" are going to make you hallucinate some.

    I smoke weed all the time and I still get visuals stimulation from these strands. They are super sativas which are very high in thc content. THC is a mild psychoactive, of course your going to hallucinate some.

    Yeah go back to medicating indicas, but in moderation. Maybe vaping some nice OG Kush from time to time. Check this graph out ---> OG Kush was #7 out of the top 10 medical marijuana strains sold strains by dispensaries this past February. So you can find it anywhere. OG Kush or a heavy indica would do the trick.:2thumbsup:

    I think its a good idea to stick with the indica, it seems sativa does not work so well for you. or more technically you need more CBD and less THC. Also its up to you but I'd try and get off those anti-psychotics, long term use of those can have some nasty effects from what I hear. Also I don't see why they did not give you an anti-anxiety medication if your issue is anxiety.

    But yeah its best not to abuse anything...though I can't say I never have.
