you can't have a peaceful protest. if you're protesting you're not at peace. don't protest for peace, be at peace for peace. we should have be-ins everywhere for peace. :daisy: also, ok I'm high lol. am i ok to post like this here? ok so i'm thinking, one could form a stream of thoughts, links, etc. like a tumblelog. well basically yeah, i'm thinking of doing my journal like a tumblelog. perhaps we could try making a collaborative tumblelog on this thread? :sombrero: Editted to remove outside link. Welcome to Hip Forums Gizmoloco. We have a journal and blog option here and we encourage folks to use our stuff. Outside links are not permitted when they complete with Hip Forums. Think about 9/11, country leaders arranged an attack on their own ground, kill thousands of their own people for oil and other riches. Now if they are willing to do that, what makes you think they would give a damn about your problems as you stand outside with a cardboard sign? You can protest all you want, but the us dollar is still going to lose its value all over the world and in turn its going to fuck us. You can protest all you want, but the federal reserve will still be their at the end of the day. Generations upon generations have been too stupid to realize the core of what controls their lives. That little ole dollar in their wallet and purse. Do they question why its their? No of course not because it will be 100 years next year of the same trick in the hat played on the public. I remember watching robin hood as a kid and seeing evil King John strole through the woods stealing the peoples money and those who didn't pay had to have their necks and hands locked in a vice. He kept taxing and taxing and taxing tell half of the forest was locked in the prison. My favorite part of that film is when everyone left in the forest came to help and break everyone out. Then later they burned down the castle and everyone was free and happy. I tell ya what i never thought id be living in the same situation. I think the country is at the part where a lot of people are going to end up in jail, you know, since protesting is illegal now.....
well, people are cute when you're drunk, and when you're drunk there's a decent chance that you're around other drunk people.
Gandhi believed it was possible to fight for the Right without destroying our Peace. Not just non-violence, but the Peace built on love of enemy and commitment to truth. Satya-graha (truth-force) is a much better name for Gandhian movements than "peaceful protest." It's very dharmic.
