Just started 2 weeks ago. No combing or any kind of start stuff, just leaving it. Not using shampoo either. :daisy: Its going well so far, hair is starting to clump together. A little unsure about how to separate them easily though? I've been sliding my finger along the natural 'scalp lines' and just pulling it out to stop congos forming, seems to be working but its a bit early to tell. Ripping seems very intensive (I don't want to spend half an hour pulling dreads apart) and difficult at this stage as the dreads haven't formed properly yet, so it's like "is this a dread?" :S
yep - grab bits you dont want joined and pull em apart. youll be doing it a lot while theyre young, loadsa loose hair to tangle n stuff, especially after washing i rarely have to rip mine, havent for a good year or so!
Really, Smelly? Lucky. I still have to rip every time I wash (which is about once a week) and it's been three years. At least it's not constant like the beginning, nor is it as intensive.
