So, I've come to resonate with a few religions, Jainism and Buddhism are the two, but I have some different beliefs of my own and was wondering what these beliefs closely resemble.

    - There is no 'creator god', humans and animals have the ability to ascend to other 'layers'.

    - There are no heaven and hell, not in the christian or Hindu sence. Living creatures have the ability to ascend to other layers of this realm

    - Meditation is how you connect to your self, but psychedelic drugs help us to break down perception, giving us a glimpse into the aspects of this realm we do not see

    - Violence is unnessecary

    - Eating the flesh of animals is wrong, but much like the buddhists believe, if it is set before you without you having any knowledge of being cooked meat, it is good to eat

    - Un-needed luxurys cloud us with a artificial happiness

    - Simple living is the way to connect with your inner self

    - Sex is a beautiful thing, but much like materialistic luxurys, it cloud our mind with physical pleasures if over-indulged

    - All living beings, sentient or not (plants, humans, anamals, insects), have the right to life, and are equal

    - Drinking/eating dairy and eggs, aslong as no harm has came to the animal who provided it (I'm cutting dairy and eggs until I have my own place and some land), is perfectly fine

    - The Ego is just another barrier that stops us seeing inside

    - We must help others just as much as we like to help our selves

I'd say that about covers my beliefs. Fire away.

Religion is nothing but restriction. Not all religion is bad, but its not necessarily good. And it's far from accurate for the most part. Believe what you believe and don't tie yourself down to a specific religion, you can believe in bits and pieces of multiple religions and come up with some theories on your own. Don't be religious, be spiritual.

Thanks, but I don't think you understand my motives. I am not looking for a religion to follow, I am merely curious.

I get what you mean, I used to want a religion to follow as well. I grew up surrounded by Christianity, but never fully believed in any of it. After a while i realized, what's the point in following a specific religion? Don't get me wrong, some religions have a lot of good information. But in the end, would you rather mindlessly follow a religion, or be a free thinker where you can decide whats right and wrong?

Try some meditation, explore new spiritual things... after time, you will slowly develop and philosophy and "religion" of your own, it will make you much more spiritual, just my opinion though.

You could be Jain, Buddhist or some form of atheistic Hindu. You could also be just atheist.

Atheistic Hindu? Atheist? Are you sure you are not thinking of Pantheist?

No. There are branches of Hinduism which do not support the existence of a god.

Oh, ok. I do not believe in a creator-god, but I do believe in other, I guess, 'supernatural' concepts, such as I said, ascending to other layers of this realm after death.
